Combine that with the fact that people are not born of equal ability, emotional stability or personality, there will always be inequality, there will always be the haves and the have nots. @apell711 Only thing that "works"? Define works. I indeed brought us wealth and "things" we keep in our homes.
But on the other end, everyone knows that in the end its going to collapse in itself. Greed is something human and needs to be controlled. Capitalism only stimulates greed. As always, the rich get more rich, and the poor get more pore. Im not saying I got the solution. Im just saying Capitalism, in the end, does not work at all.

@Jeemdeecreations In the pursuit of our greed, we are forced to find that which provides us with the most. Because the consumer not only has the power to refuse to buy something, he has the power to boycott and spread awareness of bad practices. When you do this and refuse to buy and when others refuse to buy, revenue is cut off for the business. When revenue is cut off, they are forced to adapt to your demands or go bankrupt.

@apell711 if it works so well then why is the gap between the rich and the poor getting larger?unemployment rates are up, jobs are down. Sending jobs overseas where it is CHEAPER to produce. CAPITALI$M! they tell you that if you want to make $100k a year you have to go to a university.Tuition prices have skyrocketed, books, gas, loans. I'm not saying that it cant be achieved, but it is very discouraging and stressful when you're born into a system where you are immediately at a disadvantage.

@djkaizerLA This is an easy one. We don't have capitalism. We have crony capitalism in which our politicians are swayed by the demands of the businesses. They seek regulation to expel competition. This allows a few businesses to sell, grow and increase the wage gap. The prices of things like tuition, books and gas have skyrocketed because when the GOVERNMENT guarantees these things and backs them up with loans and grants, there is no incentive to be competitive and cut costs in these industries.

The problem is that the vast majority of people are concerned more with trivial and irrelevant things like celebrities, MTV, Hollywood and Football when there are sinister things happening right under there noses. Hopefully this will change soon and people wake up, stop being distracted by bullshit before it's too late! I am glad that I stopped watching MTV when I was 14 years old!

That the reason some "intelligent" people from the past who have invented ideologies like communism, corporatism, anarchism, democracy, socialism etc.. is because of human nature? I'm also not sure if Ron Paul could be the best answer, but i believe it would be MUCH better than what you have now. Any "ism" always leads to corrption so it seems. Humans are very civil but not in a distorded society. Our behaviour is wrong.

@lugankid I suggest you check out Dr. Gabor Maté. He studied human behaviour his entire life. He also works with addicts. Be very careful what you say how we just "are". Our way of thinking is mostly picked up by the environment we live in. If we could change our society for the better we would also change. You seem like an interesting person but like i said: Don't be too rational. Perhaps the people in the past were wrong; about many subjects. I also believe you are wrong.

I have a mastesrs in behavioral economics working on a phd now, and I can tell you that our way of think might be based on our language and environment, but our decisions and our emotions are not. With a brain scan I can predict your answer (70% of the time) to a 4 multiple question before you even process the question. I know what you will pick before you even do.

Combine that with the fact that people are not born of equal ability, emotional stability or personality, there will always be inequality, there will always be the haves and the have nots. In my opinion libritarianism that ron paul preaches would only exasperate the problem. There is no such thing as the free market as he sees it because it ignores the spectrum of human behavior. YOu could try to change it,but that would require brainwashing the entire population to be the same.
