I will gladly admit I'm smack between the putative genders, an don't have a bent bone in me body, but i'll CHEERFULLY admit I get a jolly Woodchuck from this track . . . Diggitty
Re Possetred: Prob bit older than you, mate, and my Metal love goes back to Hendrix an Sabbath. BUT problem arises that, cos Im 53, an saw Pink Floyd at Knebworth, as well as Captain Beefheart, Gong and Camel at Liverpool Stadium (as was), and Lyrnryd Skynyrd at Liverpool Empire, all before 1975. ALL as result of right place, right time. Oh, and right girlfriend called CLARE MURPHY of LEGH AVENUE, WIDNES. All in ur infra dig past now . . . .
One of the most underrated bands of the the early 80s. Their other hit, the Byker Grove one, Ooh Papa Papa is also worth a listen. Are The Kane Gang better than Prefab Sprout ? Maybe. Couple of great North East 80s bands
what a tune takes me back to Franklyns lounge Bellshill Scotland The DJ in that place was well fit great voice and played some of the best music of my youthful years he pioneered a lot of great tunes before any other Djs ... Hence the name Seansangels ..I know his name was Sean ( believe we got called this as we used to congragate by his DJ booth) anyone now if hes still a DJ wink wink ! Gooooood Times never forgotten !
it would be great if some company used this song in a commercial and create new interest in the band and put this song to no1 where it belongs- aidan h
i left school in 83' , the 80's were the best for music , i'm now in my 40's and depressed , the music is so below standard now ... and life is too serious !!
A vastly underrated and talented group that deserved much more. I understand that Martin Brammer became a song writer for quite a few top names. If I cpuld go back to the 80s I would do a lot of things differently............
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
Robbie won't be played in 20 years time. Nor will any of the shit of today! in 100 years from now it will be Elvis, Queen, The Beatles, Bob Dylan and Mozart!
Actually this is from their 1987 album Miracle. Great song. One of the best from that year and yes, I really miss the 80's very much. Life was a lot simpler and happier back then.
I remember dancing to this with a beautiful girl called Portia in the 11/11 club Bournemouth. Funny what memories you keep but it was a quality night out!
Cant say they are the most handsome of line ups looks like they were plucked from the que while signing on but what a great song havent heard it in years, just shows gollum look a likes can make beautiful music.
Blimey. Not heard this for ages. This was my 'move in for the kill' track. Many a fair maiden was bedded as a direct consequence of this Kane Gang masterpiece. Happy days of tapping off in Coasters and Swifts in Brighton. Marvellous!
Yet another great song from the eighties that you will Never hear on radio [ Even classic 60's,70's and 80's stations ] Because most of the D.J.'s are to busy playing Queen, Van Morrison or Robbie "F***ing" Williams!
Totally agree GT, what a time this takes me back to, i was young, had a beautiful girlfriend and lived life to the full, when i hear these songs the memories that come back are so strong and evocative, i try to tell young people now , live for the moment, it wont be there forever, i think they think im trying to preach to them but what i would do to live those days again, not now but back then, wouldnt want to be young now, its a different world
