Re Possetred: Prob bit older than you, mate, and my Metal love goes back to Hendrix an Sabbath. BUT problem arises that, cos Im 53, an saw Pink Floyd at Knebworth, as well as Captain Beefheart, Gong and Camel at Liverpool Stadium (as was), and Lyrnryd Skynyrd at Liverpool Empire, all before 1975. One of the most underrated bands of the the early 80s. Their other hit, the Byker Grove one, Ooh Papa Papa is also worth a listen. Are The Kane Gang better than Prefab Sprout ? Maybe. Couple of great North East 80s bands

A great soul track from a superb band, largely ignored but not forgotten by some. This should have led to a breakthrough for the Kane Gang, but they faltered not long after. But they released some seriously good music, which still sounds great today. If you like this check out 'Motortown', the album, which is really good.
