The ying and yang to my center, you sing the night away. With out you i would fall apart... Where would life be now. Where can it go? History has yet unfolded, It's in the hands of time.
After listen to Mirage composed and performed by him, I really think that he has able to attrack audience back to electronic music. He has carefully studied and followed the early techniques of Karl Heinz Stockhausen, a very early experimenter of this fascinating music to create his own fantastic style. It was good that Klaus went on his on after being shortly a former member of Tangerine Dream. Now with Lisa Gerrard... this is pure OVERWHELMING VIRTUOSITY! :) Thank you for the video.
Two "sacred monsters": Klaus and Lisa. I love them and they are two of my favourites musicians.
Sure, the stories of both musicians are very interesting and it deserves listen the discographies of Klaus Schulze with and without Tangerine Dream :), also the discography of Lisa Gerard with and without Dead can Dance (Especially the songs of various soundtracks - Gladiator, Baraka and others... ).
btw, to all those people who think this is lame ... some people (like myself) actually like the way Klaus sounds now quite a bit and seeing this happen makes me feel very good.
I've respected and followed both artists for a long time now. Somehow, I do wonder, do they need each other ?. This sounds ok and Lisa's very down-deep vocal scope is still so impressive. I might agree with CHICAGOMUSICGUIDE about the lack of novelty or surprise in Klaus' music today though I really loved MOONLAKE but must say I haven't followed him since the mid 90's.
Maybe the german masters have been too indulgent about the youth taking them as absolute icons of today's electro scene ?
Now, I am exceedingly open to music, but I didn't think that Klaus did any justice to Lisa's vocals. Lisa is great as always, but the music sounded very generic, overly repetative and did not provide much ear candy as it could have (or should have). Sorry, but I hold high standards when it comes to my expectations of Lisa's musical involvements. It was of course great Lisa in a different environment, but it didn't work as much for me.
Thanks for providing the video though, it was worth seeing!

Geiles Festival!! Und so unglaublich lässige Leute. Total friedlich. Hey Simon, alter Knipser. Die Fotos sind echt klasse (besonders die von dir mit TD und Klausi). Du schuldest mir immer noch ein Brötchen aus'm Backstage...
The human voice serves as an effective "counterpoint" to the electronica musical "energy field".... great vocal sound!

I have seen Dead Can Dance when they performed live in Thessaloniki, 1997, and they were awesome. Lisa gave a stunning performance.
I will see Klaus and her (again) in September in Berlin!
