does it sound like the original song? of course not.

is it played 10 times better? absolutely.

quit bitching on them because they're way better than your average guitar players. (i still like all the others, but for example comparing hendrix with vai is like comparing freddy mercury with pavarotti, they're both great but don't compare them because it's like two whole different leagues) awesome song tho!!!

Yngwie cracks me up just because he dosn't ebb and flow... the first solo, vai looks at satch like "ok man, take it away" and Yngwie just blows right in the middle... Anyone watching would blast Yngwie, but his arrogant 80's "I'm so awesome... check me out" attitude is more funny than anything. It's hard for me to take him seriously as an artist but he's definatly entertaining. I've still never been much on "Guitarist's guitarists..." I prefer Hendrix, Clapton, and SRV any day... they were legit

and by the way.... I didn't say I didn't like them.... their skill is undoubtedly amazing... I'm not slamming Yngwie as a player, yet everytime I see him play on any show video, he goes blasting in like a napalm attack... He dosn't hold back and let the song flow....Listen to SRV's instrumental version of "Little Wing" and you'll hear him ease into the song, build until he comes to a huge peak, then he eases off, then brings it back out full blast once more, then finishes and fades out. Classy!

This is an awesome cover, but Malsteem has no feeling for the song. While Vai's solo was also fast, it had feeling, but Malsteem just blasted in like an ego in a china shop. I would like to see this song done by satch, vai and petrucci.
