  • It is very beautiful.....You made this piece of Atr Work very old, step by step....

  • I love the layering of colour and texture. Looks almost edible - if a bit crunchy! I particularly enjoy watching your very hands-on style.

  • You inspire me so so much! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful work and the process. I just smile from ear to ear everytime I watch one of your videos!

  • Thank you, you make me smile too :-)

And also thank you for make it a favorit!

  • carla i have tried using the wall putty.. when i use glazing technique, the putty is giving a very fine cracks.(its not peeling off )

do you think its a good idea mixing some glue to the putty before applying on the canvas so that putty doesn't give this fine cracks due to the pressure of glazing..?

  • Well... I just try out that kind of things. I should be pleased with the cracks because I like that kind of texture :)

Just try and let me know what happens!

  • instead of Spackle if i use wall putty (which is white in colour, ) still gesso need to be used on putty?

your response will be highly appreciated..

  • It depends, does the putty 'drinks' your painting? If I don't know myself, I should try with and without gesso.

  • every time i see your videos i get to learn new things thanks carla...

    thank you so much..

  • Thank you! For watching and take time to comment.

  • Thanks Mariette!

May be 'photocopies' from a printing place will do better, I'm not sure because I wasn't patient enough to wait to let it dry completely, so I 'hurt' the transfer to be honest.. But I'll try it again this way and then I'll wait till the next day :-))

  • Another inspiring video Carla!

I love working with transfers, and have done transfers from inkjet with transparency film; but not this method.

I usually get 'photocopies' from printing place for the method you show.

Is your ink pigment or dye ink, and do you remove paper completely when dry..only leaving transfer?

    Great technique?

    Thanks

  • do you know if spackle will crack later and come off how long will the painting last i want to do this ,but if i sell mine will my customer want money back if the painting cracks over time .

  • Hi Gina,

Not the spackle I use. In my country, The Netherlands, you can buy "Grote gatenvuller" from Alabastine, and it's is a kind of spackle that doesn't crack or come off after a while. But I really don't know what will happen if you buy spackle in the US. I think you have to try it first..

  • Another great video demonstration Carla, I love your result and it's great to see what went into achieving it. Love the music too, I've used that one more than once!!

  • Thanks Mary. I just found that music, it's great you can use it on YouTube.

  • Carla, thats beautiful, thanks so much for sharing! God Bless.

  • Thanks Angela :)

  • Another great video, Carla! Thanks for your generosity. I was a little surprised by one part of the video, though, because I have always heard that you couldn't use inkjet prints for image transfers...and I see that you have proven them wrong. This is a very good thing to know.

  • Jus try Donna, who knows what a fab result you'll get!

  • I absolutely love your videos and techniques, the results are fantastic, thanks for sharing :-)

  • And thank you for watching!
