  • I use to belong to the Presbyterian Church about 18 years ago where they were VERY conservative, but they started having a lot of liberal ideals which I did not like at all.

Now I am a proud Conservative Southern Baptist living in Texas and I proud to be one!

  • Southern Baptists. . . still thinking that the whole universe is all about them.

  • Christians are faggots that will be fed to the lions again.Southern Baptists are the worst of the Christians and they will be tortured the most hideously before they are fed to the lions.

  • @dickmysuck13 wow- somebody needs to take a chill pill. thats so rude and disrespectful.

  • @nikkayx333 So are Southern Baptists and Christians in general.

  • @dickmysuck13 well i am a Southern Baptist and im not rude so...

  • Jesus Christ is my Lord however since I have taken up yoga I have had a reconciliation with satan. He spoke to me whilst i practised yoga, he told me that I didn't need to go to church anymore. He seemed so sincere that I now practise yoga everyday and haven't been to church in years. Yoga has replaced bible class because i am addicted to the strong connection to demonic forces that it gives me. Look at Jesus robes they are very similiar to that of buddhist monks which tells you everything.

  • "Yoga," from which we get our word, "yoke," means to connect. Used in a spiritual context, it is any practice at all that combines disparate human spiritual components. In Jungian terms, this process is called individuation. In alchemical terms, the Sacred Marriage. In Christian terms, sanctification.

Westerners--and in fact Easterners too--often find success at this joining of the below with the above frightening. These videos explain that fear very well:

    watch?v=hwyuQbIb0Xs

  • yoga is a sanskrit word witch means to unite (with the highest truth) so christianity is yoga

  • @henrikhankhagnell Lol? Yoga is self oriented, Christianity selfless for God!

  • @racenuke christianity is more like priest oriented since you stop using the god given abilities inside you. Yoga is about awakening the god given abilities within oneself. You don't need hatemongers and preachers to tell you what to think.

  • Southern Baptist Christians are in 1st place in the category of the worlds most ignorant religious cults. And there are some seriously ignorant cults out there. Combine the already uneducated brainless wonders of the South with the brainwashings of Christianity, and you get some real Grade-A ignorance like nothing else upon the earth. I am honestly pondering the thought of them having much less intelligence than the Neanderthals. The stereotype of the South being dumber than mud IS true.

  • @SargentBlah theres a difference between stating your opinion & being straight up rude.

  • what is the big deal? Why does everyone make a big deal out of what he said.. Why can't you just agree to disagree? instead of getting pissed off at what he said..

  • Peace to all souls... I am looking for some help in bring out news to all Christians. I experienced an awakening in real human form and understanding... Check out the information coming out at mercycal.com it is real and truthful. I need help in presenting this to the Lords followers... search mercycal here at youtube and be sure to see the understanding Biblical Clouds at the site... I am seeking only help and enlightenment... Peace to all souls.

  • I'm a Christian and I like yoga. I used to do yoga until I got tired of getting up so early to watch my yoga show. lol

Yoga makes a great physical workout, it makes you fit. It feels good.

    Theres nothing wrong with that.

  • this is fucking stupid....why are some "christians" constantly doing this?? there's obviously nothing better to do than pick and prod people's faith and their spiritual walk....leave 'em alone and worry about your own souls....Yoga is amazing

  • @UAJAKE82 That is kind of the point isnt it? Yoga guides us to look at our own selves and be honest about where we could improve in our own lives. This preacher is too busy looking out at the world trying to see what is wrong with it. God forbid that people should grow an learn to be at peace in their own lives. Dont worry, the fact that he is so audibly resisting self examination is simply an indication that his day of realization is near.

  • Yoga has two elements the spiritual and the physical. You can perform the physical without professing faith in the spiritual. I find, "Peace be with you" and "Namaste", to be threads of each other.

  • @AncientWestAfrica.. Could u please explain what bible warns abt this?? I never read any such things in bible.

  • that yoga instructor is hot..

  • He is kind of right because the Bible warns us of this. I think it depends on how you use it. We can never be God.

  • @AncientWestAfrica The Bible warn's us? Really so your book is (ofcourse) right and the other 1291239012030123 books are wrong... The Bible don't mention something like the dinosaurs..BUT HELL! WHO CARES RIGHT! HIGH FIVE FOR BEING SHORT MINDED!

  • I am glad Pharisees are still around picking and prodding everyday life. Just like they were in the time of Jesus.

  • Wow, what a pompous pretentious ass!

Now Pilates as evil incarnate, that I could see.

  • Comment removed

  • Why do they give such crackpots media coverage? It's true that if you ran into Jesus he would tell you not to exercise, but really?

  • Being a christian who believes in Christ and practices yoga too, the only one thing i can say is, ignore these kind of bloody preachings by any mohler. There are christian monastries where practicing yoga to their students(unordained priests). Those ppl are becoming christian priests and doing their job properly. So how can ppl blieve these kind of stupid mohlers??

  • Silly People.. Likely why the Baptist Church is loosing so many members to more modern Nondenominational Churches. Dogmatic Ignorance.

I remember back in the 70's when Baptists burned Rock and Roll Albums, and did not allow Praise and Worship with Drums and Electric Guitars, said "It sounded like Evil Rock and Roll", Well guess what most modern churches Rock and Roll Christian Music in their services now . I practice Yoga and it has nothing to do with my Christian values or belief in God.

  • Hinduism and Buddhism are threatening Christianity? What, are they knocking door to door trying to convert Christians? Are they shouting hateful comments in the middle of the street, justifying them with scripture? Are they calling young boys in villages witches?

No? They're teaching them yoga? Shut the fuck up, Christianity.

  • Yet another attempt from the church to implement Christian monopoly by invalidating "New Age Cults" .... very telling about this guy, the way he discourages expanding consciousness, and sadly typical of old school religious mentality. This shouldn't even be an argument; unfortunately, 21st Century ignorance seems to make EVERYTHING an argument.

  • FINALLY something christians and the taliban agree on.

  • Most christians could use more body-mind connections... Mohler needs yoga really bad! Follow what? Follow Christ if you choose but don't follow these idiots that preach exclusivity and alienation...Mohler is not demonstrating understanding and compassion! It's that simple, I pray for him!!!

  • Dear all Hinduism or Buddhism never believe in conversion , they do not have any hidden agenda to convert people through the means of yoga. yoga is just a physical exercise you can chant loved god Jesus name while doing yoga. To became a Hindu you must have to born from a Hindu mother , by simple conversion one can not be a Hindu also Hinduism is not a religion but simple way of life. Also yoga should a matter of choice , it should not be imposed by any one. Yoga is not a threat to Christianity.

  • @iloveindiaSweden I love India too and lived there for the last 7 years. You're dead wrong in what you say, just Google "forced Hindu conversions." Hinduism is MOST CERTAINLY a religion.

  • @donwood777 Dear i respect your views, i do not want engage an argument with you, i am a practicing Buddhist and i am a follower of 14th Dalai Lama living in Dharamsala, India. Thanks

  • Let me get this straight---yoga is a threat to Christianity. Indeed, my oncologist recommends yoga for cancer patients and indeed there is evidence yoga relieves pain, clears the mind, and frankly gets you in the best shape physically and mentally. I've been doing yoga for six years and indeed I am now a threat to Christianity? Indeed, I am healthy, strong, and a practicing Catholic....hmmm.

  • so i shouldnt breathe or stretch?

  • He also says, "There is nothing wrong with physical exercise, and yoga positions in themselves are not the main issue." This is 1. NOT news, 2. taking his words out of context, and 3. a simple unwarranted attack on Pastor Mohler.

  • Keep promoting fear, ignorance, hate and lies.

  • Of course a Pastor will tell you not to get in touch with yourself our you may realize that he is obsolete in your quest and hence not worth a dime of your money.

  • what a dumbass

  • say goodbye to your hot yoga teacher

  • My uncle belonged to Yoga.Yoga is a religion and has absolutely nothing to do with Christianity. My uncle was a priest there.I warn Christians to not get into Yoga,a specially the meditation! It is dangerous!

  • @Hans021220 It's only "dangerous" because Christianity doesn't go well with open-mindedness. Only fear and closed-mindedness.

  • @craterflakes They turned me into a Newt!

  • Baptist have been saying this for years, this is nothing new

  • While many see yoga as a form of harmless physical exercises, but it is still part of Hinduism.

  • Sorry folks, you can disagree with this propaganda piece but its a fact, Yoga, Martial Arts, Tai Chi, and the other, "Arts" are all forms of New Age / spiritualism. The media here is trying to portray the Christian preacher for sticking to his faith in Christ rather than the expansion of his mind. This is all media spin. Christians (I said Christians) shouldn't practice Yoga, having said that, if you choose to practice Yoga, go ahead, but be warned, expanding your mind can be dangerous.

  • @Pjaynes781 Ignorance and being close minded I think is far more dangerous.

  • For some reason, many Americans and people in the West think that Yoga is some exercise program. While there are several yoga disciplines that involve that, YOGA Philosophy is a spiritual quest for enlightenment. It is actually possible to find Christianity through YOGA, but YOGA does not teach the one path that Judeo Christian religions abide to. The preacher is correct in his view of Christianity. From a Christian who has studied Raja Yoga (Yogananda)

  • I'm shoked, wow..... what a comment? A Baptist is saying you can"t find god throught yoga? Please.....can some one explain to this Baptist, Yoga is the only way to find the GOD, and Yoga is the only way not to maintained your body only, but you can control your mind and soul also.

First of all he should know that yoga is not a Religion ,,,Lot to say, bot..... God bless this Baptist

  • I live roughly six blocks away from this jackass's seminary. In the early 2000's he was asked about his opinions on the role of marriage; when he was pressed on the reproduction aspect he stated that women who cannot reproduce biologically have been cursed by God for something they did in their early life or something done by their parents. Yes -- these are the Christian "leaders" at the forefront in America today.

  • I feel so sorry for the sane Christians who are thrown in the same barrel as these nuts. Last I checked, Yoga was an exercise, not a religion.

  • @luckstergal

Then you haven't checked. To the West, Yoga is an exercise sold to improve the circulation, etc. But that is only a tiny aspect of Yoga. There are several "spiritual schools", such as Raja Yoga, Kharma, Jnana, Bhakti, Hatha, etc. None of these have anything to do with bending your body or buying expensive mats.

Many yogis also include the teachings of Christ in their lectures, but do not teach one path to God, which is where many Christians clash. There are also corrupt Yogis

  • @haitipi Well sorry I don't do in-depth research on everything I hear about. Like I said, last time I checked, it's an exercise, and as you pointed out, to the West, it is, indeed, an exercise.

  • @luckstergal

And as far as that goes, there should not be any religious conflict, no more than eating a Hebrew National Hot Dog would constitute deny Christ's divinity. But you know that there are many who believe that as long as it is related to Hindu and pre-Hindu religions, it is Blasphemy and Heresy. Ironically, I found my Christian faith again while studying or reading on RaJa Yoga, which is more of a philosophy of religion, but not so much the dogma of a particular brand of religion.

  • Religion has killed more people then anything else I can think of. Yoga has saved countless lives.

  • @majikspell1

Very Cliche'. You need to study Indian history before you make such a lofty, although warm and fuzzy, statement like that.

  • @haitipi I think Not. I know, the truth hurts deep. Religion IS the biggest killer of mankind of all history. How many wars in the name of religion? How many wars in the name of Yoga? Sit down kido!

  • @majikspell1

Doesn't hurt. After Stalin had 50 Million Killed in the name of Athiesm, I would say that it is egotism of ones own beliefs, religious or not that caused the killing, not RELIGION itself.

Tens of Millions of YOGA followers and adherents have been involved in murderous wars. Again, while Yoga is not so much the Dogmatic part of religion, it is a religious philosophy. That is unless you are another illiterate from Hollywood that thinks YOGA is just stretching into funny shapes.

  • Respond to this video... Sit Down and Light some incense kiddo. I am afraid that, based on your comments, I am about 10 years or so more learned in YOGA Philosophy than you. And I have never owned a "Yoga Mat" whatever that is supposed to be, but I have practiced Astral Travel for more than 20 years. Check out Paramhansa Yogananda , he's on YouTube.

You are very hostile, perhaps it is your Religion doing that? LOL. Just kidding.

    God Bless (Seriously)

  • Pffft. "Southern Baptist Leaders" can stuff it IMO. My grandmother is Christian, goes to church every Sunday, is the nicest lady I know, and goes to yoga classes on a regular basis, probably every week or better. It's great for her and helps her stay healthy and flexible.

  • true…the old country buffet is christian!

  • @KnowHisName :robot

  • any u thumpers steal muh brilliant ideas... it's cool

  • This is the stupidest "news" piece I've EVER watched. Associated Press, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

  • @grizzzlyjoe it's pointless... ur talking trash to garbage

  • You have to take care of yourself, nothing wrong with that.

  • to quote the great Paramore: Ignorance is your new best friend.

  • i live in alabama.. an i have a feeling there's gonna be alot of yoga starting to go on at churches. It's kinda a good idea, instead of using yoga spiritual practices... mix the physical practices with christian spiritual excorcises like meditating on God's word... i think i just invented something. We shall name it CHOGA... i r genius

  • yoga is a Hindu philosophy i can understand what he is saying but if you use yoga for Exercise whats wrong with that?

  • Gee, why am I NOT surprised. Yes keep Americans spiritually dead, so that they may never achieve the "seat of scared secret knowledge" in their life time.

yeah "higher consciousness" is a bad thing huh? Are u fuckin serious?

Yoga = work of the devil; according to Christianity

  • If theists could prove the existance of god, then there wouldn't have been religions, only a religion.

  • @MrAtheist1984 There IS only one religion. God's religion. Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, etc are all variations of this. Local cultures, language and traditions are great but can easily block a proper understanding of what the world's Holy Scriptures really mean't. And it is both appropriate and ironic, that some atheists demonstrate more spirituality than most Christians claim to practice.

  • @Asiablue Buddhist don´t believe in God.

Some say Buddism isn´t a religion a philosophy.

    God´s Religion: in your mind.

  • @MrAtheist1984 Your comment shows how little you know about such things.

  • @Asiablue : about what?

I see no God up here." - Yuri Gagarin, first human in outer space (1934 - 1968)

  • @MrAtheist1984 Yuri Gagarin was in Space. Of course he did not see any God up there...lol.

  • "we are not called to escape the consciousness of this world by achieving an ELEVATED state of consciousness, but to FOLLOW christ" albert mohler the str8t up dumb jackass that practices mind control....

all CHRIST talked about was ACHIEVING AND ELEVATED STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS...

now watch these slave zombies FOLLOW ALBERT MOHLER! LOL!

SORRY ASS SLAVE ZOMBIES DESERVE EXACTLY WHAT IS COMING TO THEM...

  • @Amunet369 oh yes if people can achieve an elevated state of consciousness, they will be very surprised with what they'll see. Of course its never as easy as it looks, not all techniques are documented as scared knowledge can also be used to cause great harm. Achieve the state of elevated consciousness & u will raise above these ignorant fools, and truly know the meaning of "secert knowledge", if you're not spiritually dead, u can always try again next life.

  • I am Christian... And AFAIK Christianity is all about tolerance, and love, and understanding. From here where I`m sitting Christianity needs an urgent self esteem overhaul... Seriously, if it continues sooner or later we'll have US turning into a big Belfast. For Christ sake, it is not like they are sacrificing babies in a bloody altar...

  • just making us SAVED TRUE BIBLE studying "Christians" look like fools....

  • @JDaKingman no you look stupid responding to this video. STFU.

  • @CrimsonChampions fool....

  • I say we just nuke the South!

  • @AestheticFlavor Hmm considering that is where most of Americas gifts came from. Hmmm. Gifts like music, poetry, science, oh yea and the largest population of black people. And yes they have the Bible belt. How terrible of a place. Oh dear. Hhahaha! Atheists are fools that would rather believe in aliens than a divine God. They want to omit God so they have no accountability.. There is much more proof for God than no God. Go see shockofgod.

  • @AJSensei This is true.

  • @AJSensei:

Freedom starts, when the church ends.

  • @AestheticFlavor You do REALIZE what you just said? Right? That's fucked up. You're a slave to your religion. Get A Life!

  • @AestheticFlavor If that is so what happened with communism. The first thing it does is attack the church. This country was founded by Christians.

  • @AJSensei Nope, our founding fathers believed in diesm and were enlightenment thinkers. Not everyone is a communist because they question the "norm". Look what happened with the Red Scare. That, like communism in reality, is a crappy idea too.

  • @danettemcmillon You are incorrect sir. The majority of the founfding fathers belonged to a Christian church of some kind. This country sported and still does have more Christian churches than any other nation. I didn't say everyone was a communist who didn't believe in God. But atheism did birth, both the Nazis and the Communists. If you have faith in God He gives man value. If you have no faith in God you might be the same value as any other creature on earth.

  • @AJSensei Great -- so now you're corrupting the Japanese with your Fundamentalist dribble? Sorry to burst your bubble there teacher/crusader but

    1) Hitler was an occultist who publicly threw around Christian rhetoric but privately believed consumption of human anatomy from pure-bred individuals would grant him super-powers -- not exactly an atheist.

    2) You can make excuses for Hitler not being Christian despite his public rhetoric, but what about his millions of Christian followers?

  • @MrTouchShriek

What about his millions of followers who weren't Christians?

Real Christians, not just people who CLAIM to be Christians, wouldn't attack Jews. The bible specifically says that Jews are God's chosen people.

I don't agree with him saying Christians shouldn't do yoga, I think thats stupid.

You obviously know nothing about Christianity though. Maybe you shouldn't post about things you know nothing about..

  • @MrTouchShriek Yeah, Hitler was about as Christian as Deepak Chopra.

  • LOL, what he's really saying is stop spending money on Yoga and start giving more money to my church.

  • @Roeshamboe05 oh yes pay money to order holy water from the pastors! Oh wait, isn't that witch craft?! Using holy water??

  • @Roeshamboe05 No.He does not!He is right!Yoga is dangerous!Read my comment upper here.

  • Yea, Christian doctrine is never ever contradictory.

  • @k3w1b3an5 It is if you interpret it literally. This is true of pretty much everything.

  • @Asiablue Oh yea, I keep forgetting. I'm supposed to take scripture that Christians agree with literally and apply abstract meaning to ones they don't. such as Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination (Christians absolutely take this scripture literally). 1 Corinthians 14:34 says -

"Women should be silent in the church, for they are not permitted to speak " (Christian do not take this literally or to just ignore it all together).

  • @k3w1b3an5 The challenge is always to do exactly that, and you have offered two literal ones. The first is clearly a principle true then and now. The second was true then and in some cases now, and may well be as misogynist as it seems to be. Though it may be nothing more than an injunction for people (women in particular) not to chat during faith services. I have 5 sisters and a lot of familiarity of what the writer was probably refering to.

  • This is silly. Belief in God and yoga are not rivals.

  • @Asiablue They if you're irrational.

  • @Skyman46 Your comment is irrational. It is also grammatically incorrect.

  • @Asiablue Spoken like a true schizophrenic nutcase...leave to a schizo to find fault with grammar??? Completely insane but he finds fault with grammar?

  • @Skyman46 LOL...I'm an English teacher! lol....

But I also have a background in psychology, so if it makes you feel better, I'll just right you off as irrational. : )

  • @Asiablue Even if those are rivels, so what?

Does that look like people in China, India and around the world who have been doing Yoga giving a damn about what that dickhead said ?

  • then do Pilates

  • @1984IcameandIstayed Pontius Pilates!

  • @danielinraleigh now that's a good one.lol.
