  • the greatest concert of all time!!!!!

  • fuckig great combination.

  • Pretty cool stuff.

  • Is it possible to get a copy of the whole concert? I absolutely adore Styx & REO. I'm an old ' 'hippie ' from the 60's, ... if you can let me know by email, I would greatly appreciate it!! Thank you, Vicki (vicki.roper@yahoo.com)

  • @vr0226 There is a DVD called Styx and REO Speedwagon Arch Allies... I'm pretty sure this is that DVD

  • 33 idiots as of January 5, 2012

  • @hpnuevo Innocents who dont now nothing of good music

  • I scored tickets for this tour when my sister purchased them and couldn't make it. Eddie Money played first. We stayed in the parking lot during his set but were right outside the fence while he was playing. Great drinking music and a great summer show from some of the most underated bands in my opinion. Long live great rock n roll !!!!!!! ROLL WITH THE CHANGES.

  • the 33 dislikes are not from this world

  • Kevin Cronin sounds like shit? What?.....Are you kiddin?

  • @erlsv Yes sounds like shit and if you listen while your Speedwagon glasses are off youll agree.

  • REO and Styx. Pretty awesome!

  • That kicked ass!

  • The lead singer sounds like total shit and should just retire instead of embarassing himself.

  • @michiganstopcat You sir win the prize! I bet you think the crack in the Liberty Bell makes it junk ,too! My HERO! God I hope to be able to TROLL as good as you someday,I fear I can NEVER be that SARCASTIC!

  • @badmts If you think he sounds good then so be it. I stand by my comment that he sounds like shit. He has not aged well at all when it comes to his voice!! You want to hear someone who can sing just a well now as he did 30 years ago look no further then Geddy Lee.

  • @michiganstopcat

I know you're getting beat up here by REO partisans(and an honorable bunch they are- their classic albums sound still great), but I've got to agree- well, maybe he doesn't quite sound like "shit", but his voice did sound real off when the song began. And, yeah, Geddy Lee still sounds great.

  • Tommy? A Big Ego?? Who has ever accomplished anything in this business doesn't? As a half ass musician for all my life, in my opinion, that is the norm. Name one who doesn't have and ego the size of Texas. Still great artist. Just roll with the changes and rock. That is all.

  • That was Freakin AWSOME GOTTA love IT

  • When did this most awesome moment in history occur?

  • I saw this video, then within 2 minutes bought this version of the song on iTunes. It has 75 plays and I've had it a little over a month :p

  • Saw REO at the Texxas Jam one year. Never forget that one

  • I have the dvd of this. I have the cd's too and I listen to them everyday!

  • 157 Riverside Ave. is actually where the old Stoffers Inn was down town St Louis!

It had a restaurant that went around 1 time per hour and the folks would swap booths so they could watch the baseball game! LOL

  • frickn team work is it out there

  • I do miss the feeling of standing in the pit during a concert. Gotta go see a show.

  • I want to meet Tommy Shaw Sooooo bad..Love him.

  • @jamesffelonk You won"t like Shaw. I met him.BIG EGO!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is this from Live at Riverport?

  • NICE!!!!!!

  • My all time favorite REO song. Loved playing this with my band. Love that rolling guitar solo. Loved playing this at outdoor shows. GReat song. Great band. Great times. Peace!

  • Freakin' Sweet!

  • too bad it isn't REO and Styx. :(

  • dude......speechless........

  • Classic allllllll the way!!!!!!!!!!!Fantastic video...thanks 4 posting :-)

  • major league ass kickin

  • I have seen REO and Styx together a few times!!! I have a signed REO guitar too!!! I LOVE KC!!

  • I thought it was roll with the punches?

  • @journeyquest1 Different song. :)

  • how bout a hand for that chap who takes over Kevin's piano :D

  • I remember when REO used to play at our Frat parties at Illinois State U & U of Ill. What a great Band and so ,so many Great Memories, What a Privilege to have grown up with them !

  • I just saw these two groups last night at the LA County Fair, Pomona, CA. It was a great show! Lots of fun . . .

  • Kevin Cronin here looks a lot like Rod Stewart. Thankfully he can sing a lot better than Rod, though!

  • damn.

that looks like one of those shows where it gets soooo good you wonder how the whole stage doesn't just start to ascend into the sky - the audience along for the ride.

  • I'm only 25, but this Music is Amazing, REO and Styx are Bad ass !!!

  • My ears just exploded due to over-exposure to awesomeness.

  • No Richrath no REO!

  • Kevin is a great songwriter musician..... hey so is everybody else on that stage

  • Sweeeet!!! I'm seeing REO and STYX next Friday! Who's Jealous?

  • @astoutj88 I am!

  • Kevin made it official - white men cant dance :-)

Just kidding - I LOVE REO!!!

  • Comment removed

  • The fellers from Styx handle the song better than the fellers from REO....seems like.....

  • As good as I have ever heard that song played. Too bad the solos didn't go another 5 min.

  • @Kirkola

    I couldn't agree more.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! Thank you so much for uploading this!!!

  • Awesome man...just awesome!

  • SAM BECKETT DID A QUANTUM LEAP.....NOW HE'S ON STAGE PLAYING GUITAR.

  • God I love this!!!!

  • I would sell my Porsche to see this show!

  • MAN THESE SONGS TAKE ME BACK.reo is just one of those groups you just tap your feet to and sing along with

  • Kevin, I love your voice, but you get gayer as the years go on!

  • Isnt hair color for men a wonderful thing?

  • That would have been a great show! Wish I could've been there.

  • AAAAAAAAAAA WHY'D YOU CUT IT OFF AT THE END I WAS JAMMING TO IT YOU BASTARD XD

  • lead singer reminds me of david spade

  • In the late 70's, these guys would bag thousands of dollars each for gigs. Now they get $500 a piece, a free buffet and all the sodas they can drink!

  • @PlanTonto Hey, a free buffet in this day and age is nothing to sneeze at.

  • @PlanTonto thats still probably more than you make buddy so enjoy the show!

  • @flippyflyer Now, why do you have to insult me? I don't think I attacked anyone here personally. I was making a joke. Either you are with REO Speedwagon, or your dick is about 3 inches. Which?

  • LOL!!! Roll with it!

  • wow this is a high that drugs or alcohol couldn't give me!

    sobertommy

  • @thomassallai LOL..sorry...just drunk

  • wow this is a high that drugs or alcohol couldn't give me!

  • houstonlifestylesdotcom/?p=4589 * Truth: YouTube search: SBCHouston Blessed Blessing * w/ comments Not enough money in the 2011 church budget to do the World Missions that July 2011 Houston Lifestyles magazine claims. PR for a lying sack of shit senior minister.

  • Good lord this is awful

  • @VonTrousers - You are obviously not a custom to hearing true live performances vs. the more typical lip-sync or possibly just not a fan of either band. Given both bands "peaked" in the early 80's, they actually sound damn good. Yes, I've seen both bands live several times starting in the late 70's.

  • @9Cbreeze No need to get personal. Of course I'm accustomed (that's how it's spelled) to hearing live performances. And I liked both REO and Styx in the 1970s. Oh, and I'm a musician too. Got anything else? My point is that here is the shell of what was once a good band (REO) and the wretched abortion that Styx became with that frat-boy guitar-wanker Tommy Shaw. Want to see something good? Search for REO's latest unplugged performance. It's spectacular. They actually get it.

  • Comment removed

  • one word awesome...

  • Joe Walsh is in REO? ,-)

  • Better than usual but without Gary Richrath they wil never be the same.

  • @lonaticcc amen to that

  • Love it! I went and saw them when they performed at Lampe, MO. They werent together but it was a great show! Kansas, Foreigner and Styx then two weeks later was Pat Benatar and REO Speedwagon. Looking forward to Night Ranger, Foreigner and Journey in Kansas City, MO in September.

  • sweeeeeeeetttttt

  • 3:09 Is that his...wait...its the microphone. Its all good. haha

  • Sweatbands.

  • I worked a show in San Antonio TX last year and when they(STYX&REO) played together it was like the best of both worlds!!!! Cj SA TX

  • @chrisjewett63 I thught these bands gave up 25 years ago. how sad that this continues. oh boy.

  • OK that was pretty cool to see them all playing on that song. 2:00...nice

  • @BobNeubauer yeah and they actually didnt miss a note either sorry took so long to reply, just got back from rockport,tx(the coast, for those not familiar with TEXAS.) p.s. played alot of STYX on the beach....... Cj S.A.,TX.

  • Sweet.......

  • Trey Parker as REO replacement guitarist?

  • @ZenDriveSeven Dave Amato looks nothing like Trey Parker. :D

  • REO and Styx! What a great combo!!!!!

  • not bad at all

  • 20 people forgot to roll with the changes

  • Just not the same with out Gary's guitar...not even close...sad

  • saw this tour- not like this however ;-)

  • i worked security at the eastern ky expo ctr.in pikeville ky.a couple yrs.back and got tocatch a dandy show reo&styx were great and got to meet the bands back stage. got my pic take with kevin

  • This was the first song I ever heard from a CD on the radio (a HUGE step forward in recording back in the day). I ran outside to get my hubbie in from mowing the lawn to listen to it, the difference was that amazing! Loved this song ever since.

  • i was very lucky back in 2003 to go to STYX REO AND JOURNEY ! never in the world will that ever happen again !

  • If you were to reunite Gary Richrath with reo, Dennis DeYoung with styx and steve perry with journey and put them together with def leppard....that would be legendary

  • Cutie alerts at 2:00 and 3:20!!

    Good song too.

  • LEGENDARY

  • KICK ASS!

  • man oh man! Wish I could have been at that show. I've seen both bands numerous times in concert, but never together. Dennis De Young & Tommy Shaw are 2 of my my half dozen favorite performers.

  • How would someone and how could someone write anything negative about this? It is great! Time has passed and things have changed. So have these bands, and getting together for this is absolutely great! Nothing is ever as good as the origional, but time moves on and this is an outstanding performance!

  • @Vindicator58 Yeah, it's like they missed the whole point of the song. That is, you gotta "roll with the changes!"

  • That's ALOT of musical talent on the stage!!!

  • What year was this???

  • Dennis who? Lawrence Gowan has does a GREAT job replacing DeYoung . Styx and REO tour together alot. REO is Kevin Cronin. Always will be. Richrath is irrelevent, especially since Dave Amato replaced him over 20 years ago. My better half and I have seen Styx and REO many times in the past 20 years. They put on a great show, and haven't lost a thing since their "glory days". It's always refreshing to be able to still listen to REAL music with REAL musicians and REAL lyrics.

  • @TheProfessorOfLife damn, you're smart!:-)

  • Styx without Dennis DeYoung and REO without Gary Richrath are both half a band. No wonder they need to perform together to even be halfway decent.

  • @tgear77 Imagine if Gary Richrath wasn't a dope head and Dennis DeYoung wasn't an aloof idiot.

BTW, they sound kick ass here

  • @kenjutsu34 I don't know if Richrath was a druggie or not. All I know was that he was the only one in the band that made it rock. As for Dennis DeYoung, he would probably be happier on Broadway. But his were the songs that everyone relates to Styx. Tommy Shaw had a few great ones, but not enough to fill out a set. True Styx fans want to hear "Lady", "Fooling Yourself" "Come Sail Away", "Suite Madame Blue" and the other DeYoung classics. It's not the same without him.

  • @tgear77 can you do better? prob NOT!

  • @ArleneRuss Never said I could. All I said is that the current configurations of the bands are less notable than the classic ones.

  • @tgear77 You need to let it go and roll with the changes dude...

  • @HeRacesTheSun But then I couldn't "Keep on Rollin', Keep on Rollin'...."

  • Watch AMANDA OVERMYER and GARY HIGGINS sing and play this same cover song ROLL WITH THE CHANGES while they were on a Western Tour promoting their new Album SOLIDIFY (itunes). You can watch Overmyer's version also over the YOUTUBE ...

  • the thumbnail looks like the girl is having an orgasm from the music

  • @sebasschiney anyone that's ever been to a concert can tell you...it happens. lol

  • IM going make a time machine and get bill gates to delelop the internet during beachboys and beatles era and therefore Justine bucktooth bieber and Miley slutty cyrus will be just another person listen to beast groups such as STYX Foreigner Journey Reo speedwagon, the who, Def leppard, and many more would be the 100million view groups.

People today are retards liking a song with a bad repeitive beat in most of there songs and bad vocals

  • REO is a bloody JOKE without Gary Richrath & this sorry piece prooves it!!!

  • man thats great! these guys dont have to do this at all..its all about having fun...really cool they done this...

  • epic

  • Random guy is the drummer for Styx.

  • Love this song.

  • At 2:04, who's the tool with the sunglasses on at a concert? He doesn't even know the words. Yeah, you're cool buddy.

  • use to love to tommy shaw til he dissed dennis

  • @mommakat226 Dennis is arrogant...Tommy is not..bottomline..

  • JT kicks ass, as always.

  • See AMANDA OVERMYER sing this same cover song ROLL WITH THE CHANGES at all her concerts while on tour promoting her new Album SOLIDIFY (itunes). See Overmyer's version also posted over YOUTUBE ...

  • REO & STYX---"ROLL WITH THE CHANGES"

  • I Love to See these Guys perform again!!!!

  • Rock music for the Wal Mart crowd

  • @cungar1001 BOTH these bands toured incessently in the '70's and '80's and played some of the best rock music of their generation, so get out of here you hater: your opinion isn't worth what they pay the greeters at wallmart!

  • @lastdaysguitar thank you very much and I agree 100%

  • @cungar1001 and those of us who despise wal-mart as well

  • @cungar1001 EVERYONE shops at Wal-Mart..even those who say they don't..lol, we all know better:) Everyone likes to save money!

  • @trufflesrheaven I only shop at Wal-Mart if I'm traveling and I'm in some small town or city where that's my only alternative. I'm being totally sincere and serious. I live in Atlanta and I shop at places like Target, Walgreens, CVS, Kroger, etc. 99% of the time.

(wink, wink) Also, though, I hate the Village People like everyone else does and I NEVER sing along to "Y.M.C.A." on the radio, because we're all above doing that of course (wink, wink). :-)

  • AWESOME!!!! THANKS to ALL INVOLVED!!!! OXOX..

  • Random tambourine guy that no one can hear at 4:00

  • I saw REO and Styx separately many times back in the day, and saw them together at Pine Knob, and they put on an AWESOME show, and this video ROCKS! But tell me...what is the fat guy with the sunglasses trying to sing at 2:02? It ain't Roll with the Changes...

  • @skywalk59 io think the fat guy was more interested in getting lucky with his hot cubicle coworker to his right

  • @flippyflyer How do you know they aren't already a couple?

  • @danning1 if they are, im just a jealous tool =P

  • @flippyflyer actually that was a nasty remark from this jerkoff wishing he was the guy next to cubicle girl...=/

  • ik,geef,jou,all,my,love,all,i,have,ik,moet,eens,kiezen,standvastig,zyn,but,when,your,haert,is,weak

  • @ OLIVERMIMI 1 - DON T KNOW IF IT WAS DEF LEPPARD - BUT THEY TOURED WITH THEM ALOT - AND SOMETIMES FOREIGNER Ô¿Ô

  • Omg omg omg Styx AND Reo!?

  • Hands down the best version in history. Grew up in the 80's loving this music but my wife is 10 years younger than me and doesn't know about or appreciate GOOD music. I missed this tour, and Clapton & Winwood because she doesn't *like* this kind of music.

  • @kaysandesses I grew up in the 80's too with this music.Unfortunately, you're fighting a losing battle trying to get the generation after ours to appreciate good music.

  • @guyinfl99 All in all I don't really care if the others in that generation don't appreciate good music, I just with my wife did. ; ) Our musical tastes are very similar but she's not much into 70's or 80's rock, or blues.

  • @kaysandesses damn she needs to remedy that..lol..

  • 2:45 hahahaha i love JY :)

  • These guys are having so much fun! What a great video. Thanks for posting this amazing pairing of great bands.

  • Hell, I used to play around REO, they were great then, and they're still great! Great song, and even better lyrics. Keep Truckin'! Kent

  • Best concert ever- OKC 2009 Styx-REO! Never get enough!

  • Maybe the best version of this ever done? Who needs Gary when you can have Tommy Shaw and James Young shredding for you instead? WHOOO!!!!!!

  • adding this great song to our set list. It never gets old. The folks @ 2:00 say it all.

Saw these guys a few years back at Spac - although I like DDY - this is a great STYX/REO show - someone else played w/ them - but I've forgotten - it was the keep on rocking tour - anyone know who the 3rd band was? -

  • kevin...is the BOMB!!!

  • Estimated friend, if you want to listen again to this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - it looks for his direction URL for Google (scribe Musica para Mimos in Google)-.
