This isn't the original Sega CD version. I'm listening to that one right now, and it sounds a little cheaper and differently paced. I haven't played the PSX version so I can't say if that's what this is or not, but it's not the Sega version.

This is actually off of the music cd that came with the playstation remake of the first Lunar game, it also has the song from the original intro, original boss music, and original alternate world map songs.

I can confirm this, as I played both the Sega CD version and the PS1 version.

This is a remake of the original Sega CD battle theme. However, this remake is found on the soundtrack disc for the PS1 game, which, oddly enough, is not used at all in the actual PS1 gameplay!!

Therefore, Underworld23 broke his own rule of no "arranges."

This is (most likely) ripped off the Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete soundtrack cd. Its not the actual battle theme for the game though, its just a remix version of the Lunar: The Silver Star battle theme.

I would play the Sega CD version too. Each version has its pros/cons, but each are very much worth owning. Same goes for the GBA version, which has changed story plot devices.

Playstation games work on the PS2 too, but you'll need a PSX memory card also. (And I think this one differs from the PSX version I think. I don't remember it sounding quite like this. This one's better I think. ^^ Or maybe it's just been too long since I played it...)

Great music for a very good game! They just don't make games as good as this anymore. Now, its all about the graphics and heavy metal (though I like some metal). Plus, some modern RPGs always find very inventive ways to mess up battle systems. Last Remnant anyone?

Lunar Legends charm wasn't there because A. That was the game's 3rd remake of Lunar: The Silver Star (PSX and Saturn's were the same game) and Working Designs didn't have the rights to the game anymore, so the humor just wsan't the same.

Lunar: Dragon Song though, was an abomination and should have never been made. Should have tried to do a full-scale Lunar 3 instead of releasing that crap. I can only hope Lunar didn't suffer from that and a new RPG will be born from the series again.

lol. Yeah, that game was only a bit good. I was hoping it was good though. I liked it as I was playing it but then it ended up being too short and it made sad that fighting that one guy didn't even count, the evil dragon master, and that one reoccuring guy wasn't even the second last boss. He WAS the last boss. And that one swordsman just had to die. Why? If they had him live and make you be able to use him and the one guy was the last boss and the other guy guy was the second last boss...

I got this game used, collector's package (or at least most of it) for $40 or something. Don't exactly remember. I just remember is that the voice acting puts me off from playing it every time I pick it up. But it's still a good game. :3

Fantastic story and the Sega CD version was one of the first games in history to have a cast of voice actors.

Not even the Final Fantasy series had voice actors till Final Fantasy X. So Lunar had Final Fantasy beat by 10 years !

It also had 30 to 45 mins of anime cut scenes ! Another first in RPG's history, long before the Tales of series.

Because it was able to do both of these things, they were able to make fully animated songs with voice acting ! LUNAR FTW !

Congratulations! You're retarded. Not only did Lunar have better gameplay, it had MUCH better VA work. FFX was borderline vomit-inducing. FFXII fared SLIGHTLY better, but it was still wretched. I can only assume FFXIII's voice work(If they even bother putting voicework in XIII, that is) will no doubt be horrid. If it isn't, I'll be surprised. Extremely surprised.

This is from the orginal game. Sega CD one. Its not in the saturn in PS1 versions. You guys should play teh orginal sega CD version if you ever get a chance. Its actually better I think then saturn version etc. They took stuff out of the newer versions for whatever reason.

Hey, this isn't the battle from SSSC, it's from the SS. It was on the CD working designs packaged with SSSC, though. I think this version is also slightly arranged. It's definitely not on the Saturn or Playstation version of the game.

This song is from the OST, but it's not the battle theme from the SSSC. It's the battle theme in the Sega CD version, Lunar: The Silver Star. For some reason, in the OST that was packaged with SSSC when it was released for the PS1, they decided to put the old battle theme on the cd instead of the one from the game that they just made? I dunno, confused the balls out of me.

which battle is this from? the regular boss battle theme" really? i remember it a bit differently. this game was really ground-breaking in a lot of different ways, i loved playing it. i had over 80 plus hours on my second file from a lot of screwing around. it only took me 35 hours to beat the game, though :P
