man i remember getting my ps2 and this being first game i ever saw on the ps2. My jaw dropped at the how great the graphics were. looking back now, these graphics are absolutely horrible.
This game was my first ever glimpse of the PS2 in person. It was at an EB Games store here in town, and they had an "HD" TV playing the demo. I just remembered thinking "oh my... are those graphics shiny or what??? can't get much more realistic-looking than that!"
Then, of course, newer HDTV's came along, and in '05, my jaw dropped when I saw Call of Duty 2 in action. But, that's another story.
Now why doesn't EA sports put this kind of intro in a game like NHL 09 or 08 or 06? Explain that one to me, because I don't get it, I currently still have a ps2 and that's what I play, I play 09 and the intro in this is 10000000000 times better then the one in 09.
I still play this game from time to time. NHL 2001 is one of my favorite NHL game in the whole series. I remember having a 82 game season winning every game.
this one, that starts at 01:30 it's the most common one to me from this game, from what I saw, it's called "Dwight the goalie pilot" is it available somewhere ?
the song is titled autopilot off, but the truth is, you probably won't find it anywhere in the world unless you rip it off from the video game or ask ea personally for the track
like I said, you need to tell me the time stamp on the video of when it starts. I have no idea what song you're talking about, they all sound like techno songs.
hey wingfan, I just recently found all my NHL games for PC and I was wondering if you know what program I should use to rip the music from the NHL 96-2001 cds. Your advice is much appreciated.
I have no clue how to rip audio from a PC game playing on the same PC. There's probably some audio software you can download which will record anything that's outputting from the PC.
@bmode85 There is a program called "My screen recorder pro 3.0" You can record anything on your screen to video, but also you can record any audio outputted from your sound card. It's free, but it only gives you a maximum of 3 minutes of recording unless you buy the full version. It's an easy program to use and does a good job! Check it out!
use Audacity, you can record all sounds playing on your computer so : you launch Audacity, you start recording, then you launch NHL 2001, and you wait for your song to be finished. then you cut properly the audio file just to have the song you want. I did it with another song from NHL 2001 :)
the one that is called george the homegoalie pilot.. I think thats the name of it.. anyway id be thankfull if you could post it here without gamenoise or just record it and sent to my msn.. thx pal
