  • piano man got nervious so gene calmed him down

  • A true angel, who was born bad . . .and that's why he's so good!

  • A great version, not as good as the killer's....Hank would have been proud.....what a wonderful artist Gene Vincent was.....again more appreciated in Europe than in his homeland....thats the sad part.

  • Great to be able to see archive footage of the people who created rock'n'roll

  • I was agreeing with you nevermind

  • Hell Yes!!!

  • i like conway twittys best but the rest are a close runner up

  • Jerry Lee´s version is best, but this is good

  • Synched dancing with the guitar and bass. An influence on ZZ Top maybe?

  • Fuck Justin Bieber !

    VIVE LA VRAI MUSIQUE ! :D <3

  • great live show...........

  • man this is some of the most low down just laying it down. nice.

  • thanks great post and a great song sung by a great man R.I.P gene

  • thanks Annee love this!

  • Whow thats is also a great preformance!!!

  • He sounds more like Skeets MacDonald than Jerry Lee...

  • It is easy to see how this guy influenced John Lennon.

  • @twinoak170 - He influenced all the Beatles to the point Lennon said they were like a group of 4 Gene Vincents.

  • they're shamelessly copying lewis' version

  • @blindleroygarnett thats the idea

  • @blindleroygarnett "Shamelessly"? There were Hank´s original and Jerry Lee´s rock´n roll version...If you cared to pay any attention to what Gene said, you had already known he was doing Jerry Lee´s version.

  • An eerily accurate impersonation of the Killer .... Mr Stevie Riks, take note, please.

  • this is so great

  • The news is out, all over town, that you are a tramp!!!! Love this song by Hank, it was for his wife.

  • The greats of white rock and roll are Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly and The Everly Brothers. In England Cliff Richard. But Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Bo Diddley and Ray Charles are greats makers of rock and roll.

  • i agree with all except one....cliff richard?

  • Before to Cliff Richard no one to England. He`s got every songs like "Move it", "High class Baby", "Dynamite". I think he should be in the list. Maybe in USA was not very important but in Europe was great.

  • How about Bill Haley and His Comets? Surely Bill should be in the list.

  • I'm really sorry to forget Bill Haley who was the one before to all rockers that I wrote. Sorry to forget.

  • You left out Bill Hailey and the Coments, Link Whey.(spelling?)

  • I forget Bill Haley, I'm sorry, Haley was great. When I wrote I didn`t remenber it.

  • @dolientes .A shame these guys don't get

any air play anymore.Sure beats the **** out of the Jonas Borthers !

  • @Obeijin A FUCKIN MEN!!!!!!!!

  • @Goyokiki That comment makes zero sense....

  • @dolientes

Do Not EVER forget the late great guitar whiz Bobby Fuller. I Fought The Law was a pure rocker as was Rock House, Let Her Dance, Jenny Lee, and Annie Lou

  • great band

  • Vincent was the most .

  • Hey now settle down there ...the legs of the piano have been taken and saved for gene future use.

  • Is that the shortest piano ever?

  • sorry, but he copies JLL-

    this is the KILLERS version!!

  • he said that already idiot

  • great beautiful version of you win again

  • the best

  • NICE !!!!!!!!!!

  • This is Jerrys song! After H.W of course!

  • good version

  • Ahhh...it's so great to hear Gene doing this song too. This is muscical history.

  • what are all these damn 'buts' about?? the guy slays with this song. Just appreciate that your hearing a Rock Legend doing a little something different and he carries it off!! Enough with the comparisons--just enjoy!! --thanks, anneesvinyl....

  • check out Mike Ness's version of this songs its the best one ive heard

  • Anyway Gene stays sweet Gene

  • hmmm yea Gene Vincent had far to beautiful of a voice to waste it singing a Hank Williams/Jerry Lee Lewis song. This is more suited to Jerry Lee's style.

  • I respect and appreciate Gene and Jerry Lee's version of this song, but for me Hank Sr. owned it with his sad soul. No one else came genuinely close to expressing it.

  • Dang straight!

  • you must not have any eardrums. Jerry Lee's sun version (without the background singers) is right up there with the original as JLL loves and respects Hank Williams.

  • Not quite the Killer but good. You gotta give it to Gene that he gave it an honest go, but Jerry Lee can't be matched on that number in particular.
