Hats off to you my man, maybe one day thanks to honest men like us (and many others obviously, just trying to use an example) there can be some element of class restored to the younger kids coming up in our society. As country Oreo as can be (LOL)! Looked up "Justified" and this song after seeing Olyphant on "The View" today. I don't care for rap -- prefer my Old School Motown/Philly -- but it's interesting how this Gangstagrass mixes 2 traditionally unmixable genres. Might hafta check 'em out some more.

The track is official. Yet it is by no means a new music genre. It's rap with a blue-grass melody. Just because the hip-hop samples a joint from a new genre doesn't make it a new genre og hip-hop. Its HIP HOP. That's what it does. It synthesizes different musical repertoires into looping music structure to serve as the track over which lyrics are rhymed and interplayed. At some point EVERY music style will find its way into a hip-hop track.But its all hip hop.

@TheMashupMessiah Here's some trivia re the hat. Elmore Leonard, writer of the novels on which "Justified" is based, didn't like the hat Timothy Olyphant picked.  Leonard was concerned the hat could easily blow off in the wind, unlike the hat Leonard picked for the character. Anyway, do yourself a favor: When you visit your nearest Western wear store to get your hat, take a few minutes and educate yourself about how it's shaped and worn. Can't hurt to be a bit more enlightened.
