.....anywho....lol. There is no way I would use my iPad in place of my Wacom tablet to draw something on my desktop iMac. One or the other. Either draw on your desktop, or draw on your iPad.
I commend your resourcefulness. However, the app costs $30, right? I would just recommend saving your money and buying an ACTUAL graphics tablet. I have an iPad and I have a graphics tablet. There is no way in hell I would tr
To be fair, the closest equivalent to this from Wacom would be the Cintiq 12w (for those that don't know of it, a graphics tablet with an LCD display that allows you to draw on the surface as opposed to drawing on your desk and seeing your illustrations on your monitor). The cheapest Cintiq averages $1,000 USD, the iPad is hundreds less, including a stylus if you choose to use one.
I'm a Wacom fan, but am looking at an iPad to use Sketchbook Pro on- it's simply cheaper.
@mitsune13 not so good. Depends on the internet speed you have. Hole Communication between ipad and computer is through internet, via logmein website. It is not even close to wifi or bluetooth response.
Thank you for a great how to! My question is: because you're using logmein to control your mac with your iPad, is latency a problem? Do you have real time precision control of the mac using the touch screen on the iPad? Or is it delayed and unprecise? The reason I ask is because I'm considering buying an iPad exclusively for this reason, I need a good tablet for graphic design, and I want one with the display built in and I can't afford the Waccom that does this. Thanks!
@mcgenetics If you have a mac you can also download software called iGraphicPad (look it up in the app store). It's actually made for this purpose. If you don't have a mac, you're in the same situation as me, trying to find a good alternative xD The software from this video works pretty much lag-free, but it's annoying to have to double tap everytime you want to draw something
if things are "alot easier on the computer" then why even do this??
