Chyna was the best. Yes she was a powerhouse but she was not the best female wrestler. Wrestling is not all about strength. It's about skill and strategy and Chyna only relied on strength.

Trish didn't beg WWE for anything, she didnt ask for the all those title reigns, popularity, diva of the decade award, or any of that stuff. She worked her butt off & achieved all that success. She deserves every bit of success. AND yes, Lita did in fact help her in the beginning. But they kind of helped each other as well. I see them EQUALLY. I'm a die-hard Trish fan, but I know that she is equal to LITA -3

@betsabejett77 Trish won a title every year she was considered an active wrestler. Lita went 4 years between her first two title reigns, despite being the most popular diva on the roster. She also won both of these titles in the main event of RAW, which no other woman has done. I do think Lita should have gotten at least 5 titles, as Mickie James has 5, and Lita inspired Mickie to become a wrestler and mentored Mickie before she joined WWE.

To me you cannot say one diva is the best, you can say which is your favorite, but to say which is the best is not the best way to categorize. Trish and Lita both excel in certain aspects and fail in others. Lita excelled in the flashy moves while Trish excelled in the promo and mic skills. They both redefined the diva's division and got the audience to take notice and respect the division they fought in. You can have a favorite, but one is no better than the other.
wwe still wants to find another trish & they keep failing because they need more women like lita..girls who looks different & have the skill & not pretty faces who they dont care to train..
Sadly Divas today don't live up to these expectation anymore. Gail Kim was the final one in and out of WWE, until she finally had enough and just flat on quit.

@steelix18 Well This isn't just about being hot it is about skill but you are right Ivory and Sable are right up there and maybe even Tori. But Stacy was a true wrestler (more a valet). I feel she's in a different category.
While I like Trish and Lita equally, Trish is favored too much backstage. I love Lita, because who else can pull off moves the way she has? Today's women's division is the worst I've ever seen, they're very close to having no air time, i've been noticing. But aside from that, the complete majority of them do Not have any in ring skill prior to what they already do. I don't get why Vince prefers bony, stiff, botch-making little girls. Lita should return, I'm tired of these screwed up models.
In my opinion I think that Trish is overrated. She gets ranked the number 1 as the best diva ever, for what? Oh yeah, she won the women's champion 7 times. Don't get me wrong I like her but I don't think she is near to being as good as Lita. Lita is one of a kind, she is special. I always looked up to her. She did amazing things in the ring. And the way the crowd cheared her it was simply amazing. I love her and miss her, to me she is the greatest DIVA and female wrestler.
I remember when in 2004 Raw had Trish, Gail, Molly, Jazz, Lita, Nidia, Stacy & Victoria....and SD had Torrie, Miss Jackie, Jacqueline, Sable, Dawn Marie & Shaniqua......man very good time.....but now WWE has good name too, Raw has Beth, Eve, Kelly, Gail (the only one from the old school), Brie, Nikki, Melina & Maryse....and SD has Kaitlyn, AJ, Natalya, Tamina, Rosa & Alicia (plus Layla & Kharma off for this period).....mmmm think about it....yeah I miss old divas...but the new aren't bad :)

Without these beautiful ladies, there wouldn't be a Women's Division. but i feel that these two divas did the most...i mean look: Lita did amazing dives & flips & curls & etc...still looking beautiful. I think every era has a pair of great, legendary divas in a league all their own. A pair that cannot be matched or touched. Chyna & Sable, Trish & Lita, Mickie & Melina and next I think it will be Beth & Natalya... hopefully WWE uses these two right because they are icons in the making.
@kent504 True, but they were still larger than the other divas on the roster in their heyday. The same can be said about the men to. There was Bret & HBK, Stone Cold & The Rock and now there is Orton and Cena --- the last two are not as impactful as the others, but are still in a league of their own.
@kent504 I highly doubt we've been watching the same WWE. This is the same WWE that has R-Truth as a number one contender for the WWE Championship. To say the mens division hasn't declined greatly is crazy. It's just easier to pick on the divas because WWE treats them like shit and has always pegged them as second rate. WWE as a whole as declined greatly my friend, not just the divas.

mickie definitely made an impact as the torch was passed to her by both trish and lita, and her popularity reached very high, so high her fanbase is just as equal to trish and lita to this day
2010 was the fall of melina, people started calling her ugly, saying she's sloppy, how she sucks now, how her attire is ugly etc so melina will never be a legend, mickie passed her
I like Mickie but her impact doesn't come close to Trish and Lita. Popularity? She was well liked but not in the same category as Legendstatus like Trish and Lita.
I think they put them up to this. Trish & Lita were not the original Divas. Trish may have been one of the most effective... but come on. The original diva was Sable.
Lita and Trish Stratus are both great Divas and wrestlers. They have done a lot of greats matches, but don't forget than today we have good divas too, like Melina, Beth Phoenix, Natalya, Gail Kim, and even Michelle Mccool (yes, she is a good wrestler, do you like her or not) and Tamina (for me, she only need more moves and training)
And what about CHYNA,I recall her winning the Intercontinental Champion from Chris Jericho,and Trish or Lita never did that.She was in the Royal Rumble,she made lots of history and broke barriers that other women didn't.She proved that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that women can and will be stronger than some guys.
For ALL of you in the debate over who is better:TRISH or LITA,I say neither.They were both greats divas,and their rivalry was the best in WWE Diva history.They were pioneers,YES.They made history,YES.But their EQUAL.They both worked hard to prove that divas were just as strong as the men,that was their message,they don't care who is the better diva,they just wanted to entertain you.That was their goal.Not to be the best.
I'm all for the women wrestlers of the past, but you can't just right off ALL the divas of today. The WWE has different rules now, I can pretty much garuntee that Lita, Trish, and Chyna would seem just as useless as the divas of today if they had the same rules back then. Granted most of the now divas don't seem to wrestle that well, but I give props to the ones who have a lot of potential, like Melina and Beth.
Trish and Lita are Equals when it comes to the wwe best divas. They both made each others careers successful and meaningful to the fans. i cannot stand when one person praises one and dogs the other; they both, are pioneers. You can have your favorite, but you do not know the meaning of good divas if you diss one and commend another. Teamwork was what made them so popular and what made them the top divas in history.

the best diva was Lita she set the stage. There would be know trish stratues without her paving the way. You look at diva's now and they are ok but none them have performed to the level that lita did. She deserved better when she left.
Lita and Trish are the real Divas in WWE. They're not just faces but also a true wrestler. Unlike the New Divas, they lack abilities. TRUE abilities.
But if you're going to ask who's the BEST its Lita. She was the first Diva to do high flying maneuvers. Being the best doesn't mean the number of times you become woman's champion.
The reason why Lita was only a 4-time champ is because she focused more on handling edge,etc. But if she didn't, she can be a 10 time champion or far better than trish

Lita was out on her ass gaining weight and recovering from a neck injury for well over a year while the likes of Trish, Jazz, Molly, Victoria and Jacqueline were building up the Division and getting 8-10 minute matches. Lita came back by the time women's wrestling had evolved and she was terribly sloppy in the ring and couldn't even do her Moonsault right.

Before we used to have hardcore Diva's matches and high flying moves now we have Kelly Kelly vs. Layla NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's sad the more hardcore divas are sent packing because they're not "pretty"-ing it up enough. Like come on Layla can't wrestle honestly the last best ones where Melina and Mickie James. After them...you have girls screaming after just being kicked. Lita broke her neck, Victoria busted her nose, Trish her shoulder...when will we see those thing again?

Chyna did more with the male product then she did with Women's wrestling. That's why she'll never be fully credited as the top Diva. Her feuds with women sucked. She stood out fighting with the guys. She was never a true Diva. All Sable did was rip her clothes off and have 4 minute matches with Jacqueline where she botched moves and couldn't even wrestle. There is no one that made the impact that Trish did. Especially while Lita was injured.

To me you cannot say one diva is the best, you can say which is your favorite, but to say which is the best is not the best way to categorize. Trish and Lita both excel in certain aspects and fail in others. Lita excelled in the flashy moves while Trish excelled in the promo and mic skills. They both redefined the diva's division and got the audience to take notice and respect the division they fought in. You can have a favorite, but one is no better than the other.

While I like Trish and Lita equally, Trish is favored too much backstage. I love Lita, because who else can pull off moves the way she has? Today's women's division is the worst I've ever seen, they're very close to having no air time, i've been noticing. But aside from that, the complete majority of them do Not have any in ring skill prior to what they already do. I don't get why Vince prefers bony, stiff, botch-making little girls. Lita should return, I'm tired of these screwed up models.

In my opinion I think that Trish is overrated. She gets ranked the number 1 as the best diva ever, for what? Oh yeah, she won the women's champion 7 times. Don't get me wrong I like her but I don't think she is near to being as good as Lita. Lita is one of a kind, she is special. I always looked up to her. She did amazing things in the ring. And the way the crowd cheared her it was simply amazing. I love her and miss her, to me she is the greatest DIVA and female wrestler.

I remember when in 2004 Raw had Trish, Gail, Molly, Jazz, Lita, Nidia, Stacy & Victoria....and SD had Torrie, Miss Jackie, Jacqueline, Sable, Dawn Marie & Shaniqua......man very good time.....but now WWE has good name too, Raw has Beth, Eve, Kelly, Gail (the only one from the old school), Brie, Nikki, Melina & Maryse....and SD has Kaitlyn, AJ, Natalya, Tamina, Rosa & Alicia (plus Layla & Kharma off for this period).....mmmm think about it....yeah I miss old divas...but the new aren't bad :)

these are of the many divas that paved the way for the WWE Divas. You also got Chyna Sable Mae & Moolah! Without these beautiful ladies, there wouldn't be a Women's Division. but i feel that these two divas did the most...i mean look: Lita did amazing dives & flips & curls & etc...still looking beautiful. Trish about the fierce cocky strong never give up type attitude! NO OTHER DIVAS CAN COMPARE TO THEM...THEY NEED TO BE IN THE HALL OF FAME!

I think every era has a pair of great, legendary divas in a league all their own. A pair that cannot be matched or touched. Chyna & Sable, Trish & Lita, Mickie & Melina and next I think it will be Beth & Natalya... hopefully WWE uses these two right because they are icons in the making.

There was Bret & HBK, Stone Cold & The Rock and now there is Orton and Cena --- the last two are not as impactful as the others, but are still in a league of their own.

To say the mens division hasn't declined greatly is crazy. It's just easier to pick on the divas because WWE treats them like shit and has always pegged them as second rate. mickie definitely made an impact as the torch was passed to her by both trish and lita, and her popularity reached very high, so high her fanbase is just as equal to trish and lita to this day
2010 was the fall of melina, people started calling her ugly, saying she's sloppy, how she sucks now, how her attire is ugly etc so melina will never be a legend, mickie passed her

I'm all for the women wrestlers of the past, but you can't just right off ALL the divas of today. The WWE has different rules now, I can pretty much garuntee that Lita, Trish, and Chyna would seem just as useless as the divas of today if they had the same rules back then. Granted most of the now divas don't seem to wrestle that well, but I give props to the ones who have a lot of potential, like Melina and Beth.

They both made each others careers successful and meaningful to the fans. i cannot stand when one person praises one and dogs the other; they both, are pioneers. You can have your favorite, but you do not know the meaning of good divas if you diss one and commend another. Teamwork was what made them so popular and what made them the top divas in history.

Lita and Trish are the real Divas in WWE. They're not just faces but also a true wrestler. Unlike the New Divas, they lack abilities. TRUE abilities.
But if you're going to ask who's the BEST its Lita. She was the first Diva to do high flying maneuvers. Being the best doesn't mean the number of times you become woman's champion.
The reason why Lita was only a 4-time champ is because she focused more on handling edge,etc. But if she didn't, she can be a 10 time champion or far better than trish

Lita was out on her ass gaining weight and recovering from a neck injury for well over a year while the likes of Trish, Jazz, Molly, Victoria and Jacqueline were building up the Division and getting 8-10 minute matches. Lita came back by the time women's wrestling had evolved and she was terribly sloppy in the ring and couldn't even do her Moonsault right.

Before we used to have hardcore Diva's matches and high flying moves now we have Kelly Kelly vs. Layla NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's sad the more hardcore divas are sent packing because they're not "pretty"-ing it up enough. Like come on Layla can't wrestle honestly the last best ones where Melina and Mickie James. Chyna did more with the male product then she did with Women's wrestling. That's why she'll never be fully credited as the top Diva. Her feuds with women sucked. She stood out fighting with the guys. She was never a true Diva. All Sable did was rip her clothes off and have 4 minute matches with Jacqueline where she botched moves and couldn't even wrestle.
