What year was this commercial? LOVE the nutter butter cookies to this day, but its the most or one of the most expensive cookies on the shelves of my local supermarket! So I can rarely afford to buy it. :-(

I remember this commercial very well! I loved peanut butter as a kid and still do today at age 46. Funny how no one seemed to have had a peanut allergy back then....it was a more peaceful time. Today we're all a bunch of neurotic wrecks with these food allergies.

It was one of the earlier attempts to start full-force branding. Rather than just a Nutter Butter or even "Nutter Butter Peanut Butter" they kept referring to it by the whole crappy "Nutter Butter Peanut Butter *sandwich cookie*". IIRC they even added the damned company name or word "brand" to the song a couple of years later.
