This is a remake of an obscure song that DeBarge did attepmting a comeback without El as "The DeBarge Family." It also uses elements from "A Dream." Teddy just fixed it so that he could make some money too off of the music by sampling his version of it. In Japan, this is probably all new to them so they ate it up.
