  • Singapore is a country, do you know that? lol

  • I see what you were trying to do but the scenery imo is just like... All over the place. It doesn't flow evenly imo. Sorry...

  • @tsunami762 Oh, that is fine. This ride is ancient my friend, it's only still featured because I haven't been bothered to update my channel. You will see I have greatly improved whenever I get around to making a video for Netherworld (latest). I have two years worth of experience with Newton2 (as well as all the other tools) and 3dsMax. As well as all my previous experience with photoshop (and all adobe) Trust me, the channel will be updated soon, and my skills have long since greatly improved.

  • @rollerghost615 Boo, Newton! [handbuilt ftw]

Anyway, I'll go check it out! Honestly this specific ride is great and the scenery pieces by themselves look fine as well. Just - so many themes being incorporated into one, you know... It's weird. haha.

  • I'm curious... did you not even use the built-in smoothing feature? And you had the heartline turned off?

    Dang. lol

I build by hand, but I still need the built-in tools (I don't think those are cheating, at all, unlike.. well, whatever those other programs are called. You can tell I don't use them just from that. haha).

    Great job!

  • @SoCalDork

    Thanks.

I did use the control-g smoothing feature back when I made this, and con. roll was on for most of the ride. But other than that it is entirely hand-built. No outside programs used for the track. I use tools nowadays though, I just haven't uploaded any of my recent works for anyone to see yet so no one would know. ;]

I have improved a lot since I made this.

  • @rollerghost615 Yeah, I was talking about Ctrl-G. Thanks for picking up on that. haha

I saw only a few things in this one that could use some work (really not many), so if you've improved as much as you say you have, then I REALLY can't wait to see what you've been working on! ;) lol

  • @rollerghost615 make an update vid. BTW i love it!

  • holy cow

  • @squooge :)

  • @rollerghost615 But 16 Likes

  • @Mrcoasterrider lol yes yes

I think by posting that I made someone else dislike... :p haha

  • Singapore is the country i live in . lol

  • -Okay, for those of you that want to find the hidden Wall-e but couldn't, *cough cough* Oinz, here is how you can see it.~

It is recommended that you view in 480p.

Now as you enter the second helix, this is where Wall-e becomes visible. You pass the ship before twisting under the rock canyon.

Start at the tunnel, around 1:20 Make sure you start here; you may miss it if you don't.

Then at 1:26 you will see a little blur, the colors of Wall-e, up on the ledge across from the hill. That is him. ;)

  • @rollerghost615 THANK YOU SO MUCH! Now do I win the 3ds package or... Lol kidding :)

  • You irritate me. PLEASE UPLOAD THIS TO NL EXCHANGE. (OR, package and e-mail to me!, it's too friggin awesome!!)

  • @kaboda317 Because its not all that good scenery wise...

  • @kaboda317 I may have uploaded it back when I made it, but I have improved so much since then... I don't want to upload this as my first ride to the exchange, and have people think it is where I stand as a builder, which is not accurate at all.... I plan on sometime in the future doing a Return to Singapore ride. or at least something with a similar theme... because I really want to use that Norwegian Pirate song from TSFH in a video. ;)

  • @rollerghost615 ,Okie dokie :)

  • I wanted No-limits Coaster for Christmas, and I always do my Christmas list on Powerpoint, and I added a link to this video on the slide for No Limits. My mom thought it was pretty cool.

  • @2012jarrett Haha, I'm honored to have made an appearance on your Christmas list. lol x)

  • @2012jarrett Keep in mind it take quite along time to learn. It's much higher standards than games like rct3 and such.

And if you want objects like I have in this video, you will need to buy a 3d object making program as well, such as Google Sketch-Up Pro, 3d Studio Max, Lightwave, etc. Good Luck! :)

  • @rollerghost615 Well, it wouldn't run the computer that I had when I posted that last comment, but my parents wanted me to have it, so they just bought me a new laptop for Christmas! They said that they would buy it for me when we got all my RCT3 designs moved over to this computer, and my dad said that he would be able to get me a copy of this program called Solidworks to practice with. Does that work with No Limits?

  • @2012jarrett No Solidworks is not compatible with No-Limits. Solidworks is a 3D CAD design engine. I believe it allows you to animate and make simulations of 3d models you have created. This probably needs you would have to have a 3d modeling program to go along with it, and have knowledge of 3d modeling. It looks pretty advanced, and has nothing directly to do with roller coaster simulation. I currently use 3d studio max.

RCT3 however is compatible with the newer versions of NL.

  • @2012jarrett Also, I don't see why you would want to practice with Solidworks rather than No-Limits, considering SW costs about 5 times as much, and will in no way help you learn how to use No-Limits.

You might want to wait to purchase No-Limits though... No-Limits 2 has a planned release coming up pretty soon, and it blows the pants off of NL1 from the pictures us in the NL community have seen. Everything in it looks so real that I thought it WAS the first time I looked at it. :)

  • @rollerghost615 I took your word for it, and I am currently using No Limits. My latest coaster forms a complete circut, so that's a start! Right now I'm trying to put this mine train on a terraform map.

  • @rollerghost615 I was hoping to be able to make cs with solidworks. However, if it doesn't work, I have downloaded both NoLimits (I'm actually getting the hang of it) and Google Sketchup. I have yet to make any cs with Sketchup, but I'm focussing more on trackwork than scenery right now. Nice coaster, btw. :)

  • @JY8446 Haha, that's cool. I don't know know what Singapore is really like, but I based this off of Singapore from Pirates of the Caribbean 3. :)

  • Haha OMG this coaster is awesome!

i love how it keeps its pace all the way through and its pretty freakin smooth aswell!

obviously the scenery is pure awesomeness! :)

id really love to make a ride like this but i cant! its not that i havent got the imagination for it but i cant do banked turns! i can do loops and tophats and all that stuff but i cant do banked corners so it really limits me! :(

could u put a tutorial on how you get banked corners so perfect?! id really appreciate it! :)

  • @JiMaNeYbOb

    Thanks!

I'm not going to make a tutorial, because there is really no technique I have to it, and it would just look like randomness. This was a four month process, 2 and a half of which were spent tweaking track nodes and supports until it flowed about as smoothly as I could get it by hand-building.

Best tip I have for anyone is, take your time. :)

Also the nolimits-exchange message boards are real helpful, it is full of pros, (I'm on the website), and they are very helpful. :)

  • @rollerghost615 ok thanks! i kinda ignore the tips from nolimits... i guess i should take more notice of them!

thanks anyway! i wasnt really expecting a tutorial anyway! i just wanted some advice because my banked turns never look smooth! haha

i should take my time aswell!

  • where can i download it

  • @DotsProductions

I don't currently have it up for download. I'm working on that though. :)

  • man this is like the best NL coaster on earth!

  • @TheCoasterfreak200

    Haha, thanks man!

  • whats better? rct3 or no limits coaster

  • @MilkyMcCheese

It really depends on what your looking for, rct3 is a game, and no-limits is a simulator.

Rct3 requires hardly any practice, and gives you the advantage a full park experience with animated scenery. With NL, you can only build one coaster per scene, but it is much MUCH more realistic in design terms. NL takes a lot of practice to get good at though, it won't happen right away. If you have a good 3d model program and want to make realistic designs, nolimits is the better choice.

  • @MilkyMcCheese (Cont.) But, if you are just looking for a fun park experience, with animated scenery rct is the way to go. NoLimits is a professional program for designing roller coaster, and when combined with practice, and great plug-ins such as Newton2, it is definitely a better program, but I can promise you that your first coaster will NOT be good. Haha, it took me a good 4 or 5 months to get a decent grasp on it.

I recommend just buying them both, so you have realism and just a fun game.

  • @rollerghost615 thx so much!!! great map!!!

  • DWD, this is a test :)

  • @ProjectCoaster

    Huh?

    What's a test?

I am no officially confused, haha. :)

  • AMAZING SCENERY 9000000/5

  • @WowISuckAtGames

    Thanks! :D

  • Thats one really great coaster rollerghost. Amazing scenery!

Personally I'm a die hard rct3 fan because of the scenery and 'real life' theme park features but this really shows how much can be done with no limits.

I just wish there was a perfect combination of the two!

  • @TheSoundDepo

Thanks, I wish there was a combination of the two as well.

  • How do u get the pathways so perfectly lined up? as u saw i tryed that w/ Aires and it looked like crap.

  • @2015AsM

It takes a while, but it's just a lot of adjusting. :)

  • so good! =D

  • @CrazeyKoaster

    Thanks man! :D

  • VERY NICE

  • @TheKingCoaster

    Thanks!

  • you got 3d studio max?!?

  • @kaboda317

No, there is a website that sells objects created in 3DSM, I bought the cannon for the sign from it for like 5 bucks. :)

  • wow! man this is amazing! it does look much better with the scenery!!! :)

  • @kaboda317

Thanks a million dude, a lot of hard work was put into this! :)

    lol and true

  • Cool! I like the blimps!! :)

You never made me my map... now I'm sad!!! :(

    It's been like... 3 months and I still don't have it!!! :(

  • @lilyhershey819

Haha thanks, and there are no blimps lol, there are 2 flying machines and 2 hot-air balloons. :)

And no, I've been to busy, I'll try to get it to you as soon as I can though! :)

  • @rollerghost615

I mesnt hot air baloons!! :(

  • @lilyhershey819

    'Okay ;)

  • great coaster! and could you have made the competition thing any harder? my guess (as in epic fail guess) is 1:43 to 1:45, in the rocks. Is it right?

  • @OinzCEO17

    lol Thanks!

And no, not even close, haha!

It is really hard, the ride (clue) zooms by so fast that Wall-E is just a blur. :D

  • @rollerghost615 yeah, I thought it was wrong! :D i'll try again soon!

  • @OinzCEO17

Cool, and here is a tip, it is much easier to see in 480p! :)

  • @rollerghost615 believe me, I've tried everything! 480p, full screen, everything! It looks like I'm the only one who knows about Wall-E :P

  • @OinzCEO17

Yeah, with the very high amount of scenery in this ride, I can understand your pain lol, when making this I actually forgot where I placed it, and had to search around the editor for like 15 minutes to find it! :D

  • wicked little thing. :)

  • @persianking44

    Thanks dude!

  • Sweet ride man, very creative and inspiring....

  • @FunkyMonkeyMachine

Thanks man, I'm glad you liked it!

  • very nice.hows the haunted house coming along?

  • @coasterman59

Thanks, and I am pretty much still prop building, I am working on a pneumatic air cannon that will blast in peoples faces, making a loud screeching noise as it goes off.

It is going to be a fun year! lol

    Halloween is approaching fast!
