  • I love the color of it all!!!

  • The crowd looks so unenthusiastic! They could learn a thing from the crowd Saturday night in dublin!

  • These guys are *tight* live, as evidenced here. And the resonance of Paul's voice really comes through. I don't care who they sound like - I think they're kickass!

  • I hate people, what 17 fuckin' dickheads disliked this????

  • @naders71 Relax, their loss. Just listen to it 17 more times and give them a big middle finger.

  • @brianb0806 As advised, but i gave 'em 2 middle fingers!!!

  • @naders71 I didnt dislike it on the ratings but I thought it was shite!

  • @iceonaboy Hey each to their own.......hope you get well soon!! Am kidding!!!

  • I hope that when they see the comparison with the Talking Heads, they smile. Not a bad day to be compared with the TH. By the way, under wires shouldn't set off the x-ray machine. But there will always be blue lights on the runway.

  • @brianb0806 Absolutely! Can't deny the TH influence and sound here...

Thought it was a new Tom Tom Club tune, personally...

  • kate its so much like david byrne talking heads.. i love this song...

  • NEW WORLD ORDER...are you fucking kiddin me!! 0:55

  • i love this vid :)

  • @ahhitsalyssa5 I think a lot of people realise this... lol

  • @ahhitsalyssa5 im pretty sure everybody realizes it

  • @ahhitsalyssa5 Now i wanna know what he said!!

  • 3:31 and 3:43 someone blowing the truck horn?

  • WOO FRONT ROW AND CAMERA TIME! thats a good night

  • Saw them before U2 last year in Croke Park when they said they were delighted to be playing on the half back line- great! Yes Talking Heads come to mind but what harm -they are super

  • class song . . .

  • Is anyone else bothered by the fact that these guys don't know the difference between an Xray machine and a metal detector?

  • I heard this tonight for the first time on NPR...I seriously thought it was some track of the Talking Heads that I had never heard. I think David Byrne is probably impressed!

  • there shite

  • @johnser007 so dont listen to them you idiot.

  • @johnser007 where?

  • I like their good vibraions... groovy!

  • Saw them in Vicar St about a year ago. They have no charisma live, although that didn't stop Coldplay!!

Its a shame because some of their lyrics and tunes are fab.

  • I have to think about The Talking Heads! Kinda of similar music in this song anyway.

  • crap, David Byrne was good not like this shite

  • I think David Byrne would like this. The timbre and feel of Paul Noonans voice makes it more than just a DB ripoff. Plus that cowbell that arrives at 3:04! ..... deadly buzz.

  • Absolutely lovely song! Stays in my head for days....

  • I love this song! It makes me very happy. Can't get it out of my head. Keep up the good work, guys! Have shared it on fb as my favorite song to get a party going.

  • i bought this cd after hearing this song on satellite radio and out of 10 songs there are 8 songs that are good enough to be on any playlist

  • Saw them last night in the Olympia. Amazing!

  • I'm assuming you know that that was a joke... Just read and interview with David Byrne and he claims that he can't wait to die so he can commence vigorous grave spinning over these unoriginal, hackney scumbags and their lame impersonation.

  • Oh, snap. I'm going to look this interview up. Impersonation or not, I couldn't get this song out of my head the first time I heard it on The Spectrum.

  • So excited about seeing them on Thursday!

  • I am so angry I could spit! I cannot believe this crap! This is a total Talking Heads rip and a blatant David Byrne sound a like... I heard this song on the radio the other night and was so excited, I danced in my car. Now I just feel like my boyfriends twin brother tricked me into bed with him! Dirty.

  • @BonerLips2

    Actually, that's kinda hot...

  • @BonerLips2

Though you're right -- it IS a Talking Heads rip-off

  • David Byrne is spinning in his grave right now!!!!!! What a scam, what a bunch of hacks. People are actually praising the fact that this sounds so much like the Talking Heads.. Originality counts for nothing anymore.

  • David Byrne is not dead yet!

  • If you like this check out "Rocky Took a Lover" from their album "Flock." Think you will love them.

If you can get them to DTW, get them to come back to Columbus, OH

  • Totally thought this was something David Byrne, but when the gogo bells came in I totally thought it was Talking Heads.

Great band and a new favorite of mine!

  • I also agree when I first heard this song Talking heads was my immediate thought but hey that has to be complimentary to this band, great stuff guys

  • Lyrics in this jus make ma laugh.... in comparison to their other songs it so less serious... love them all tho!

  • Bellx1 are fantastic!!!I'm Italian and here they're unknowk but I love them...Cornetto is an Italian ice-cream...it's delicious!!!

  • bit like the doors

  • I agree with the others, I wasn't sure, but I wondered if it was Talking Heads. I really like the song.

  • i love bellx1..they´re wicked!

  • cornetto is english slang for ice cream cone.

  • Cornetto is one type of ice cream cone, and they're fucking great.

  • I thought this must have been a talking heads song that i missed. so talking heads. but they are great on their own merit.

    what is a cornetto?

  • I love this song!

    Way to go!

  • This Is A Deadly Song... Luv The Bit: Ur The CHOCOLATE AT THE END OF MY CORNETTO... Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • That what Irish means,,,, SAVAGE...

  • seen bellx1 live in benicassim in spain, highlite of the festival, just savage!

  • ya i was there too 2nd from the front it was unreal!! absolutely love them : )

  • This is a cool band

  • it sounds gay

  • The first time but then after hearing it a few times you will iove it well at least I did.

  • Love this song :O :) (8)

  • this live version seems a bit slower than the studio.

  • FUCKEN CLASS

  • Talking head-ISH, DUH! IS Talking HEADS....(no offence:) Just the first thing I noticed upon hearing it on the radio.

Doesn't mean I don't love it, don't get me wrong:)

  • they re way better live

  • Sounds Talking Headish..

  • "the beatles killed music" says Bell x1

  • i love this song <3

  • so great! i love this song!

'i love the colours of it all'

  • cheesy as hell,but i luv it

  • Isn't there an official vid of this? This gets lots of airplay in Holland atm.

  • lekker nummer he!?

  • no, actually i didn't...

  • But I did notice that your spelling leaves a bit to be desired ("You're" not "Your"; "didn't" not "didnt".

Just thought you'd want to know...

  • the name. the country.

    U2 someone?

  • it made my day !! again :) greetings from dublin

  • cool band great song

  • good liive performance

  • Paul Noonan's dad was my school principle. The year I left for Secondary school he retired.

  • love these guys..they have come so far since the "Juniper" days with Damien Rice. A great band that will be around for a long time!

  • ok this is sary he says lets make a now word order (dont what this meens look it)

in the song he says word order no now

    him

    looks like freedem is f-u-c-ked

  • Mate, how can you say that about the lyrics! It's the best part!

  • i really like this song are these guys new?? not sure

  • this song wouldnt be half bad if the lyrics werent as terrible as they are.

  • yeah your right but it's still good

  • i totally thought it was david byrne too. definitely enjoying.

  • Love the song. <3

  • lol....the d.j. on npr was made a snide ass remark about the david byrne thing, but shit! I thought the same thing.

  • One of the best songs of 2009 yet

  • I was at this gig it was so cool! bring on the 15th can't wait to see them again!

  • I totally thought it was David Byrne when I first heard this song on the radio. Awesome energy guys! :)

  • How are these guys not The Talking Heads?

Because they sound exactly like The Talking Heads.

  • It's A Casio DG20 digital guitar. it has strings! you can play it as a standalone guitar or you can programme it to sound like any thing you want.

  • Yea its a synth

  • I could've sworn it was David Byrne singing :)

  • Agree! I thought it was just me...and it sounds like a talking heads song but I can't remember the title.

  • Great stuff x

  • What is the instrument the lead singer using called?

  • a guitar!

  • They sound a littile bit like The Doors, very good

  • I am excited to see them July 27 at corke park!

  • this song makes so happy :D !!

  • Their supporting U2, should be great! =]

  • really? it says you're from australia on your page. i actually am in the same school these guys went to

  • Yeah grew up in Celbridge and been Australia for the last 3 years. Your in Salesians????

  • i am indeed

  • Anyone would think Paul Noonan takes Musical inspiration from Talking Heads or something. I love it

  • thats so true

he's so much like their lead singer david byrne

  • LOVE IT.!

  • best yet, love the synths, lyrics are quirkier than ever and they obviously haven't lost the love for performing....if i don't see them this summer im gonna stab myself in the foot, swear to god!.....ps. what's with all the hate comments, if you're not a bell x1 fan you're not gonna get so fuck off and listen to lady gaga or the script or whatever.

  • read the book its by john steinbeck you might understand then the song seems to capture some of the story in a crazy yet cool way

  • the cornetto lyric is just retarded but its a catchy tune, shame about the gay lyrics!

  • mouth open haha

  • bell x1 is such a brillant band! it's really a shame they're not already famous but hopefully after this album! I actually heard this song on the Dutch radio for the first time so it seems like they're getting more known around here finally!! I like that the music doesn't seem complicated, but after listening a few times it really turns out to be complicated and you keep discovering new stuff in it. and the lyrics.. :) smart and funny! I love being their fan :)

  • legends of a band.wish them a world of good luck with the new album,im loving it

  • Seen them in galway and Wow were they savage!!

    You know the line

'wont you tell us bout those rabbits george?'

Is that out of of mice and men by john steinbeck???

    hmmmm

  • I'd put money on it.

  • Doors influence I hear?

  • the lyrics are'nt messed up if you listen he's making lots of references to the book of mice and men. in it george is always telling lennie about the rabbits. and they work on a farm but he does go a bit mad with them at some points in the song .

  • These guys are freakin cool. They're trying to sound like REM. That's what we need now a new band that sounds like REM. Thanks guys. I love the color too man.

  • I can't help sing along to this song...soo good!

  • david byrne should sue him. VANILLA ICE ICE BABY!

  • oh yea pity they're not something like: "under my umbrella ella ella".

anyway fuck off that line is the best in the song!!

  • Niallmoo75... the lyrics are why BellX1 are unique!!

  • I just saw the for the 1st time on Letterman. Felt a strong TALKING HEADS VIBE. Not in the sound of the lead vocals, but in the layers of ryhthms including the backing vocals cutting against the lead vocals. The driving Bass too. Sounds like T H at their best. Gotta love it.

  • great song/band and a cool intro

  • Whoever they sound like, they are there own band. I dont expect any singer to change his vocals coz he sounds like someone else (D. Byrne) Get over it, they are fresh, welcome, and wanted on the scene. Go to some sad festival where someone will actually listen to u, here we give people a chance, and Bell X1 are worth their shot without arseholes like u digging at them over there accent and slang.

  • Chocolate at the end of my Cornetto!

    <3

  • Best lyric ever!! :D

  • Sent this link to David Byrne, it would be great if he guested on stage with the lads !

  • Great
