Theres a lesson to learnt by all in this story by Dr RiaND. We all know that these damned Insurance companies are calling the shots, yet still we accept it. I'm Irish so it doesn't affect me directly, but in the long run, I believe it will.
Unfortunately, the "health care bill" has nothing to do with health care. It's about politics. If there was a sincere desire for health care then one of the places it would start with is the chemicals with unknown longterm effects that the food industry places into foods, it would get rid of processed foods, it would eliminate GM foods which remove the enzymes the body needs to break down the foods, it would severely penalize hospitals who defraud the Medicaid and Medicare system, etc...
This lady speaks very well on her own personal opinion rather than taking sides. True word of a human voice rather than word of a human party. She does not take sides but rather says it like it is in her own opinion and not others. I appreciate your true opinion as I see it being that way.
Democrats could scrap the legislation and start over in the reconciliation process. But not to re-create the whole bill. If you go that route, you admit the whole thing seemed too opaque and complex and compromised. You also admit the limitations of the reconciliation process. So you make it real simple: Medicare buy-in between 50 and 65. Medicaid expands up to 200 percent of poverty with the federal government funding the whole of the expansion. Revenue comes from a surtax on the wealthy.
The rest of the world thinks we are insane. Why would any country allow advertising of drugs. Doctors spend time with patients asking them for prescriptions for the drug of the week that they see on TV. Dr Ria is right, we are the only country that allows this. Are we better off for it? I practice prevention and my award for it is I stay far away from the sickness industry and stay happilly and healthy in the wellness industry. Great message Dr. Ria.

Good video. I agree with you on the tax credit for people who are taking steps to better their health.
