After seeing all the You Tube posts and tributes, I had to go back and read the books all over again. Thanks Sullivan for the movies. A great film on a legendary story. No one personifies Anne and Gilbert as Megan and Jonathon do. Timeless. Bravo.
I didn't realize there were so many AOGG fans. Jonathan Crombie... what can I say but gorgeous. Who wouldnt want a guy like Gilbert completely focused on them? I can't help it. It's the way he begs that gets me. Then when he says to Anne (when they're in the barn talking about whether she'll fall in love) "I hope he breaks your heart whoever he is , then maybe you'll come to your senses" , he seems soo hurt. This movie is full of so many poignant moments there are too many to describe.
My favorite thing that he says is "Don't hate me for keeps!" So precious. I want to marry Gilbert!!!! Or someone like Gilbert, there aren't many Gilbert's today. :(
@Mjj711 loved that line too... "don't be made at me for keeps"..... so dreamy with that voice and those good looks... too bad she spent most of the time being mean to him... only had like a minute of good times at the end. Well except for the Continuing Story which doesn't really count.
@Bufster I totally agree with you. I hate Anne for being so mean to Gilbert. He apologizes to her all the time for being nice to her. She should be the one apologizing. Poor Gilbert. And I also agree that the Continuing Story doesn't count. I didn't care for that at all and none of that happened in the books.

soooo cute. he played such a lovely part. I always thought his character was so wonderful. what a NICE guy.
I always thought a guy who was a mix of him and someone like brad pitts character in spygame or daniel craig would make a super husband.
