  • Yesudas had a great voice.......& there r many fans of him even outside South India.......there is bad politics in most spheres of our country as in music industry..........many talented people dont get their due recognition......it happened with Bengali artists too like female artist of this song.....it is sad but true........but overall a talent cant be let down

  • melodious to the core !!!!!!!! great ..!!

  • this guy nairgopan..is unnnecassraly spreading regionalism...and dividing not only india but music also......

  • roby : this is a heart tuching song. i dont have any word.

  • nairgopan's comments are typical example of low self esteem and then degrading the whole group of people. I think people of south india are good, open minded...and not what seems apparent based on nairgopan's comment

  • Can't stop myself to listening this song again and again.

  • Touched my soul..

  • Folks,

Just enjoy the song! It transports you to a new dimension :-)

  • not to forget Yesudas gave voice to Amitabh in Sholey's "Yeh Dosti Hum Nahin Chodenge"......To sad we in North didn't get to hear more of Yesudas.

  • This is Yesudas's best hindi song I ever heard...

  • gorgeous... pure, fresh voice of Yesudas

  • very very beautiful song from yesudas

  • This song was sung by great Yesudas Ji. It is a very sad fact that the North Indian supremacy never allowed Yesudas to reign in their territory. Kishore Kumar, Latha Mangeshkar, Amitabh Bachan etc. played a great role to get rid of a South Indian performing well in the North. This was the case with Vani Jayaram and many other South Indian Singers. The result ?..Biggest loss for hindi music industry... We, the people in south were so lucky to own that great voice to cherish a lifetime.

  • about vani jayaram is correct. Since Lata and Asha literally did not allow any new entrants. This however can not be said on the male side. Anyway Kishore Kumar was a Bengali - not a North Indian. With Yesudas, the issue was that his voice did not suit too many heroes...only Amol Palekar who himself was not very successful.

Amitabh had no problems in acting with actresses from south - Hema, Rekha, Sridevi etc.

  • Though Kishore kumar was a bengali, he already had a stand, Yesudas is a new entry from south India. Yesudas was definitely a threat to kishore though he may not over take kishore still. Yesudas Sung for Amitab it suites well for him , watch the song in Trishul where Yesudas sung for Batchan, Kishore for sasi kapoor & and Lata for Hema malini

  • This song is worth it and works well to offset any loss to hindi music. Absolutely beautiful song.

  • @nairgopan.

its not true, that south indians were not allowed.. Kamla Hasan, Rekha, Hema malini, Rajnikant..and many more from south are successful in north. Abt Sir Yasudas, he was very busy in south so cud not concentrate in mumbai. I am from gujarat and i love Yasudas' voice. you can take your words back. jai hind

  • I think your theory looks like to be true , but i dont think so thats the case. every industry evolves and thats the nature of things. I dont think so there was really anything like south Indian and North Indian Supremacy . IF you think like that its sad . Music is Music and Yesu Das is good for his kind of songs and you are basically trying to not doing justice to Yesu das by saying that. HE IS NICHE SINGER HE HAS HIS OWN Terriotory .

We cannot compare APPLE TO ORANGES like Lata and Kish .

  • @narigopan, if you people of south are so lucky, why are you still complaining? i think both yesudas and kishore kumar are amazing in their own way. pretentious people like you need to step from their high horse for at least once and stop the annoying "i am so good, i know so much about music" behavior.

  • simply amazing

  • Gandharva Voice by Yesudas

  • I just love the heavenly voice of Yesudas - so refreshing and soothing.

  • i love this song

  • Oh my dear lord....did u sing this or was it yesudas...

No wonder not even a single stage performer or so called star singers or indian idols ever even bothered to touch your songs yesudasji...no matches...ur songs are tooooo hard to replicate

  • Yesudas is a national icon. He sang compositions in hindi, malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali and in Oriya. Of course, not to mention the classical compositions and concerts. In the process displaying the rich diversity of our great country.

  • super melody of BLIND MAN REVENDRA JAIN he was amazingly melodios muzic directer wah maza aa gaya

  • yasudas is still superb . so the dipti naval so the farukh shaikh.

  • Excellent, superb, splendid and many more....dont get enough words to express the Sangeet Mastero....Kudos!!!!

  • Yesudas the Maestro with the most soothing and beautiful voice

  • what a great song!!!! unbelievable!!!!!!!

  • Am at loss of words..wat a graet song actually am wonder half sleeping or not (thanks yesudas & Lataji)

  • Its not Lataji ............the lady singer is Hemanti Shukla

  • Just love this one.. Exhiliararing... Lyric+ singer .. deadly...

  • I have read that Lataji never liked to sing with Yesudas due to the fact that nobody will notice her singing............

  • true to a good extent it seems. i had read an editor-article , think by Sri.MadhavanKutty-in the then unbiased and great Malayalam News paper Mathrubhumi. the mumbai belt started getting annoyed at the fast publicity and influence KJY made among mass and music directors, he was threatened to leave mumbaiif he wanted to be alive!!

in that article Lataji's attitude was also mentioned, and it concluded like: "who are the losers? certainly not Yesudas-but hindi music and music lovers!!"

  • You are wrong Mr Inder, Lataji has sung together with yesudas and kishore kumar in Trishul, yesudas sung for Amitab Kishore for Sasikapoor ,and Lathaji for Hemamalini.

  • This song is not sung by Lata Mangeshkar, but what u said abt her is true, she also actively discouraged new female singers and refused to work with music directors who did.

  • It is amazing how a CARNATIC CLASSICAL SINGER i.e YESUDAS sang so beautifully HINDUSTHANI CLASSICAL SONG . Love to listen to him in any Language though I prefer TELUGU , HINDI AND MARATHI .

  • i only wish that lataji sang it instead of hemanti shukla..

  • Lataji didnt like to sing with Yesudasji, while she feared of him making her into the backstage

  • I have been listening to this AMAZING SINGER FOR YEARS . LOVE TO LISTEN IT UMPTEEN TIMES .
