Thanks Coach Lavell and to Coach Mendenhall they have inspired the BYU Cougars so much. It's just such a great spirit among the team. I'm a big big fan of BYU. We all should be thankful to these coaches.
The reason this video is so cool, is because that game is a key factor in changing this program. Had we lost, we would have had a losing season, and possibly went downhill from there. We stuck it out and we won after being down by 2 scores. We then went on to having a decent season and played in a bowl game. Since that game, BYU has won 30 of their last 35 games, won two conference championships, and two bowl games. I remember that one night in 2005. I never gave up on BYU. I never will.
But I remember that one night in 2005. We had traveled to Utah to see BYU lose to TCU in OT by one point. (That was a long drive home.) Then we sat through the loss to SDSU the next week. We had ordered the UNM game on ESPNGameplan. We watched the whole game and witnessed BYU comeback and score the gamewinner late in the 4th quarter. Then the cable cut out right before the final play. So we ran out to the car to hear Greg Wrubell announce John Beck taking a knee to seal the victory.
When I was 7 years old, my dad took me and my older brother on a trip to Utah to see a BYU football game. Ever since then I have been a die hard fan. I have sat through and watched almost every minute of every game since then. I have sat through the comebacks, the blowouts, and the losses. Even the 3 straight losing seasons. Since we live in Washington, sometimes we have to sit in the car and listen to the game on 1160KSL.

This was one of the most remarkable movies I've ever seen. All of those players and highlights that played at BYU, made BYU what they are now, a top 25 ranked team!
Wow, great work! One request (props to chief osceola on cougarboard), replace the UNM 2005 TD with the 2006 Harline Utah TD -- would make the video even more perfect! Great work!
