  • cool:) good job

  • i think he might be german cause hes pronouncing his V's as W's but meh i probbay pronounce german words like crap so i cant fault him

  • good work man

would you show your schematic and code to try this

  • Can you explain how you did this please, etc. source code or wiering diagram!

    Thanks this vids awesome!

    I subed!

  • WOW!

  • show us the code

  • Could this be used to overlap text on a video in signal from a wireless camera?

  • @OCDRC Yes, with minor hardware changes!

  • @Kdg86 Is there any documentation available on a website about this project?

  • What was the 8 pin video generator IC that You used, I'd love to buy a couple of those for IR RC first person view, tanks. to show bearing, gps, and battery. I'd really appreciate that. Thank You.

  • cool man ;-), thanks

  • Do you have the schematics and PIC source code posted anywhere? This would make a great learning platform.

  • I have just bought a PIC programmer. It's amazing what can be done with these ICs. I'm still trying to do simple LED output and reading switch states using a 16F627. Thanks for the video.

  • nice project

  • Билл Гейтс в молодости

  • Спасибо

  • Hey, do you have a schematic for that circuit? That's really cool. I love what you're doing with the PIC.

  • Dude... you rock!!!

  • a teewee hahaha i llaugh everytime... Thats ok, you know more than 1 language, i dont, you win. :)

  • Yeah, my girlfriend constantly complains on my english (v/w). Tries to think of it in later vidoes.. :)

  • Good on you man! You have helped to get me into Microcontrollers.

    Thanks from Australia.

  • wat the hell you are showing, buttons chasis, socket. some thing on screen. try to show how u made that technically about pic, software logic etc.

  • Comment removed

  • @sterisiology lol, everyone understand what he said... anything you want you could ask to him or to someone else from comments or something... and not try to show that you are good in something by being rude... you sux

  • bra gjort mannen ! jag med har lite kul med picen kolla på min kanal hoppas du gillar de

  • I think the resolution is 16x8 char on the screen, so do you store the text in the RAM of the PIC?

  • feta grejer, men du har för rolig engelska. teewee? hehe.. gött jobbat mannen

  • Comment removed

  • lol you bought a tee wee? a small tee wee!

  • lol that's not fair making fun of his accent!

if you speak 2 languages, you're bilingual.

if you speak 3 languages, you're trilingual.

if you speak more than 3 languages, you're multilingual.

if you speak 1 language, you're american.

lol just poking fun but yea cool video kdg! =)

  • @skyykloudz awwww, I'm learning Spanish, that counts as something, right??

  • Trevligt pic projekt, har du någon gång försökt lägga in data i vblanken i en video signalen (som text tv) ? skulle ju va trevligt att kunna skicka gps data i en videosignal från till exempel en "uav" till en trackingantenn på marken :-)

  • Nice one! I'm doing a PAL tv game on 1 PIC chip.

  • Grymt 8D , du har ju i princip byggt en hemmagjord Philips VideoPac G7000 där :D

Gör någe coolt spel nu :)

  • Awesome!!!

  • I've been getting interested in micro controllers lately but really don't know where to start do you know of any sites that would be useful for newcomers like me

  • i've got exactly the same question. i stumbled over a book called 'programming c for microcontrollers' or something similar.... quite easy and fun to read....

  • Very cool project, any way to get schematics or source code?

  • I'm interested in the XGS AVR 8 bit system from Xgamestation. But the price turns me off..especially in these hard economic times. Its also marketed for beginners. Aspiring hardware techs and game programmers too. But the structure of learning starts out easy then after a few chapters increases sharply in difficulty. Sorry, but this is not for beginners nor aspiring programmers.. Besides, there are lot of free compilers and game engines out there. And also other hardware-software systems

  • This is not a AVR system, and the main function is to operate as a LCD but on a TV, the PIC itself is cheaper to buy and test software on than to buy a LCD. So if you think it´s for gaming purpose you have thoght wrong.

  • whats this for and what use its for...whats the use of this

  • Not much of a use with this device. It´s my hobby and I make things to learn :) The idea for it was to be an alternative to LCDs. But since I started to play around with color LCDs the development on this device has stopped.

  • I used to sell a guy White Vinyl Siding and he always ordered it as Vite Whinyl Siding!!

  • What does the software do? Or is it only for testing the tv signal?

  • Yes, right now it is only a test program. It show the value of a variable that is of the type FLOAT. Wich simply means that it can contain decimals.

  • tee wee lol

  • That is very very very cool. I've always wanted to put a wireless camera on a remotely controlled car, and I also wanted t have some kind of data overlay so that it would show me on the screen what my compass heading would be and also what the GPS coordinates would be. Seeing this video shows that it wouldn't be that hard, I'd just have to find the I.C. that I would need for NTSC video. Thank you man, you have a new subscriber now. Take care.

  • Which programming language did you use?

    C, Basic or Assembler?

  • Which programming language have you used?

Also, can you share the source code to us "developers" :)

  • i would love to know more about this. what kind of videosignal IC are you using? what kind of PIC are you using? dont be mad at us please but we want to learn from you!

  • The video IC is a PIC12F675, that has my code inside. The main "CPU" is a PIC18F4685.

    // Kdg86

  • Why not use color graphics and some nice sounds ?

  • Not enough power in the pic. Perhaps if I learn how to program the Parallax Propeller

  • good

  • Nice job there man :)

  • Do you have a written tutorial on this?

  • yeah. just wanted to ask the same. please?

  • Sorry! No tutorial.

  • I've seen your other videos, too. Dude, you totally rock! Your projects have mad skills!

  • I second that: you totally rock mate ;-)

  • Great work.

I like all the projects you have made, pics are great fun!

  • Hello! You programmed in C or assembly? How many MHz clock is the PIC?

Did you would make available the source code?

I want to work with for the classroom, a clock on tv.

  • Awesome project!

  • ooohhh my godd,, impressing,, that was i think one of the most productive projects i have ever seen in all the youtube web,, he had to be german!!!,,, those guys ,,just rock!!!!,, men congrats!!!!!!!!!

  • He is from Sweden =)

  • (congratulation BTW) What is the smaller PIC (that happens to be producing the video signal)? -- I've thought about something (NTSC in my case) for basic display option as an alternate to LCD. Is there a project page with more details, parts (and possibly) some/all code? --Doug

  • Hi!

The smaller PIC is a 12F683, I haven´t found any finished sourcecode on the net, but wikipedia helped me alot to understand the signals. I haven´t tried to produce a NTSC signal but should not be too difficult, just make sure you got all the timings right. A good way to do that is to use the onboard timer and a software interrupt routine.

I can tell you right away that if you are going to try to produce a color signal, you will probaly need a more powerful microcontroller, Parallax Propeller

  • Congratulations about the project and the video! It was very nice! Keep posting projects here! Bye bye from Brazil.

  • Great Work! What PIC are you using, is it an 18 series?
