am sure he must have, if he had the time to do it.. the cowling is made up of composite material which burns real quick.. and if u have a flaming fire right in front of u, and u have the option of abandoning the aircraft coz its on the ground, i think most people will take the safe way out..!!
i guess the engine and cockpit were aleady in ashes byt the time the firetruck arrived.. the pilot and passenger were both safely out and not hurt, and i will add this bit of info to the description, and will add "airplane" to the tags..! thanks fr ur comments!!

Why isn't the fire truck putting any foam on the fire?
Also, you might want to add the word airplane to the tags.
