Oh, and very important, when they are eating, I noticed their hands are under the table. Now, that is considered rude in France, hands are always on the table :)

I'm French and I don't agree with all of that : for exemple we may blow nose in public or strike our fist on our palm without seems vulgar.

And give such a gift : chocolates in yellow plastic bag isn't very correct. It's better to give nothing than giving that.
