ive been searching the internet to try and see why Brad thanx Sacramento. But i cant find anything, if anyone knows why it would really be appreciated.
Has any other band done this, record an entired track, to show their appreciation to everyone they felt that they owed for making their work of art a possibility? Doubt it. All other bands pack it in the liner notes where nobody will read it. If anything separates Sublime from the rest of the pack, it's this.
@mcasa09 He was the front man for LA band Thelonious Monster. They played the Foothill, Bogart's, Blue Cafe, etc. with Sublime and were friends of many of the bands mentioned (Diet Faith, Imagining Yellow Suns)
alot of this music was inspired by old school dancehall reggae alot of which i listened to before i really got into sublime such as tenor saw or supercat etc. etc. so taking on this music was really cool felt just like home so much soul
I love it when he says "to Mad Dog" right after he says to Louie dog..and it's crazy because I had a friend with the nickname "Mad Dog" and he passed away about a couple of days before me hearing this song!
Dude im really stoned and it blows my mind that Brad met all these people and remembered to thank all of them imagine how crazy interesting his life must of been....
@553865 Yes, you made a right observation. Generally musicians life is like very interesting because of the continuos travel and touring, thats makes them to meet verrry much people and many places. Also they do share very much artistic material with many many other artists, that rich their life experiences. And yes, Brad remember and mentioned all his friends, that's very kind and valorative.

out to @xWAKEnBAKEn even though he dont know a GOD DAMN thing about sublime. nah man just kidding but i think this shit is tight. i liken it almost to slam poetry or something like that, but spoken by a heady surfer bro. and plus it lets you get a small glimpse of sublime´s world and all the people and places that were a part of a great band making great music
hey, its actually Mike "Miguel" Happoldt of Skunk reading the thanx, he was Sublime's producer and sound engineer, and he also sang on Scarlet Begonias. He began Skunk Records with the Ziggens before Sublime was around, i think
a band so awesome even their end credits are as good as the rest of the album.

@JohnnyMoondog9
A lot of these people are bands they've sampled, a few bands they've covered, they explain a lot of em if you actually listen to the song.

This song is pretty much credits. But it has a rhythm, feel, and unlike lifeless text, the voice has a tone.
