How did that straight pipe work out for you as far as performance and gas mileage? And did the check engine light come on because there is no cat?

@Jerret450 Gas mileage I had a bit of a gain. Performance, I didn't see any gain. There's an o2 sensor SES light that comes on, but there's an easy trick to make it think it's reading correctly.

the eaton g80 locker works as it was designed to once one wheels reaches 100 rpm more than the other wheel the locker kicks in engaging both wheels up entill 20 mph if its locked it will stay locked untill u let ur foot off when its locked the only thing letting the wheels slip are the clutches witch wear out over time and faster if your a real read ass to it

On my truck or reply to the previous post? ZR2's have Eaton Govlocks, mine always spins two wheels... At least til the locker gives out. :(

so what i dont get is that i do have posi, but.... only 1 tire spins when i burn out on pavement.

then when im in snow and press the brake and give it gas they both spin?

any thoughts to this?

its your G80 if your Z has it mine does. it only lets one wheel spin up till 20mph and then disengages it and both will spin

what do you get your speedometer to?? well not all ZR2's were made with the G80 i got lucky and got one that has the G80 rear and Posi front

it has the g80, i looked in the glove box and it says its in it. and usually i dont watch the speedometer but ive cooked em like this video but only 1 tire would spin.. beats me. i think it slips to much..

@Zr2Offroader7 wtf, all ZR2 got the rear G80 gov-lock, no ZR2 s10s were offered with a front locker, limited slip anything, all open. In any case your only front option is something like a lunch box locker not a posi-trac.

you know what that means. when it starts to slip its goin bad. and hen it goes bad thats a pain in the ass to fix. i would recomend just going straight posi or some sort of better locker. just curious is your front end open or posi??
