  • Corenthian Leather....Well there was no such thing...Chrysler made it up.

  • @UFOSPACE1999 Pontiac's "Morrokide" vinyl upholstery in the 50's and 60's was the same thing, but nobody made fun of it as they did Chrysler.

  • the plane, the plane! only the 30 somethings and up will get that one

  • It's nothing compared to the original, but better in so many ways to the Chryslers that would follow.

  • I had a 1980 Cordoba, 318 w/ leanburn. I am not much of a mopar person and yet, it was one of my favorite cars. And at 6 foot 2, I seemed to fit in it just fine.

  • Has anyone bought this Chrysler car before.

  • M BODY i like the cordoba but i have the fifth ave

  • What a fuckin mistake by Chrysler. I like the look of these cars and they move good with a 360 but I can't fit in the damn thing. I can't see anyone over 6 feet driving it comfortably.

  • @dobadriver I'm 6'3" and have an 80 Mirada and I fit fine. There's plenty of headroom, but I will admit my knees are a little close to the steering wheel and dash.

  • @360dodge

Head rooms fine it's just when I drive a car I like to be comfortable. Having the wheel 4 inches away from my chest seems a little ridiculous and my knees sit up pretty close to either side of the wheel. It's too bad, there were a few for sale where I live and I didn't bother to look at them cause they are nice cars.

  • I prefer the original Cordoba, but I like how the have the Dos Equis man pitching it.

  • i live in windsor so that makes me proud :)

  • the 1980-1983 Chrysler Cordoba was assembled in

    Windsor, Ontario, Canada

  • This body style change spelled Cordoba's doom.

  • The 1980-1983 Cordobas had a choice of a Slant Six or a V8, unlike the previous generation Cordobas, which were all V8s.

  • Dreaded "Lean Burn"

  • The late 80s were the last of production (thick) whitewalls, if I'm not mistaken. I had an '89 Reliant in the early 90s with thick whitewalls. It was my great-grandfather's last car (my first and only 2 door vehicle). Around that time, the thin whitewalls had come into style, but didn't last. And it was real easy to get gypped into buying new tires w/out the whitewalls by (unknowingly) switching the tires to the other side.

Are whitewalls even made today? I doubt it, but I could be wrong.

  • @jvlivs2 i get what your saying, but today you can still get them and red wall and gold stripe also and some custom colors:)

  • -Great car !

  • Now that's the Cordoba that I grew up on (Dodge had just came out with the Mirada around that time)!

  • Oh I just heard the "smaller" part. Thought this one was the heavy 70s car.

  • 17/25??

My 98 Crown Vic probably weighs less, has half the engine size which is much more advanced in design and still barely manages to squeeze out those same numbers.

  • @ClefDeDavid88 your crown vic might weigh less (or be very close), but the largest engine that could possibly be installed in the J body Cordoba was the 360ci (5.9L) LA V8 and most left the factory with the 318ci (5.2L) which certainly doesnt come close to being double the size of your 281ci (4.6L)

  • @carguysn yea I realize that now thanks :-P

  • @ClefDeDavid88 EPA ratings were not the same back then. In the mid 1980s they simply lowered the numbers, esxpically highway. In the 1990s they adjusted it even more. I had a 1979 LeBaron which had the same 318 cid engine and the best it ever did on the highway was about 16 and 13 around town. And my LeBaron was lighter.

  • "timeless design" LOL

  • The original body style ran from 75-79 with only front and rear fascia changes during 78 and 79.

  • these were pure shit compared to the 1975-1978 versions

  • Sorry Ricky, I don't like what they've done to your car.

  • that car looks too much like the Thunderbird

  • The 1980 model was a big letdown after the successful 75-77 run. They should have made this one more rounded and softer rather than sharp and edgy...however,all Chrysler models by 1980 were heading toward the flat sided, pointy, squared off look.

  • nice i wish the commerical was a little more clear but nice car

  • Wow!!
