@BafflinBook Thanks for watching! When I first explored Asperger's as being an option for my diagnosis some doctors told me that children with AS speak very flatly and monotonously and that my voice is too animated for me to have AS, but I don't agree with that conclusion at all.
@CharlieHenburyTV Hi, Charlie! Thanks for watching. You can have either autism or Asperger's, but not both, since the diagnoses contradict each other (Autism has language delays, Asperger's does not).
@monkaholic100 i like that username lol but yea i was wondering; with aspergers, is it only possable to be born with it? Or can you develop it thru time?
I was curious about how asperger's and relationships (Friends, family, classmates, co-workers, ect...) are affected? For some reason I thought social stimulation was difficlut for most but you have mentioned your friends a few times and don't seem to have a problem with social interaction at all.
Hi Nicole. My name is Declan and I, like you, have aspergers except I zoom ahead in maths. I'm only a year 5 in primary school but i'm about as good as the teachers. I also like music but my music teacher won't let us play many songs. I also like white food because my most favorite is white sesime-seed bread that been buttered. But i'm not sure why. My question is how does aspergers work? Does it like mess with the brain or something? Anyway, keep making those vlogs. I love them. Bye Nicole.
@helzshailer Hi, Declan! Thanks to you and your mom for watching, and for your message! I'm glad to hear you are doing so well in math! I will definitely be sure to answer your question this week! Thanks for watching!
Hi Nicole. I have watched both these blogs with my two aspie sons, aged 10 and 6. My older son and I would really love to see these vlogs weekly so we can have regular times to look you up. These are really helpful for us as we don't know many people with Aspergers. My son, Declan, wants to message you:
@helzshailer Thanks for watching! I will probably be posting on Wednesday this week, because Thursday is Thanksgiving here in the States, and I'm going to be very busy during that time. If you would like more in-depth information, I have a link to my blog in the description box, and you can find many articles on various aspects of Asperger's there. -Nicole :)
In this video you say there are other differences between Asperger's and HFA besides language. Which do you think are the differences? You said you have to meet a personw ith AS and a person with HFA to know, but in my opinion there are no differences in verbal, normal-IQ adults.
@astridvanwoerkom Of course, every individual is different, so it can be difficult to generalize, but in my experiences I've noticed that generally speaking people with HFA tend to have weaker fine and gross motor skills than those with AS. This is because while people with AS are naturally at a high functioning level, those with HFA often have to undergo many therapies in order achieve their level of functioning. Like I said, the differences are very subtle, but they are definitely there.

Well you are right that I worded myself wrong. I base my opinion on DSM criteria for autism vs. Asperger's.

@astridvanwoerkom That is a more valid claim! :)

@astridvanwoerkom "in my opinion" is never a good way to state facts.
