  • very enjoyable technique of playing, i wish i was at your level too ;o)

the ES-175 remains an amazingly unique guitar, don't you agree?

  • Beautiful guitar.

    Fantastic playing.

  • THAT was smooth. Very nice!

  • Very nice! Your guitar playing is beautiful. You have a lifetime of terrific music ahead of you with your talent and that sweet guitar.

  • great playin capt! Nice guitar.. Lots of good times ahead with it .Use it in good health my friend... How much are they goin for these days?.....KEEPON STRUMMIN......DALLAS

  • very good playing brother..

  • Excellent!!!

  • many thx !!

  • aww beautiful man. loved it

  • Very nice arrangement, I used to have a black 175D

  • wow...great playing..!!loved it!

  • How High The Moon is one of my fav songs.

  • btw,Gibson Custom shop ES 175's are made of solid wood..

Don't know if that's what Capt domingo has.

  • Chordwayze,

It looks like Gibson is making the new

    ES 175's from laminated Maple.

This means what you hear is what you get,

it will never age the way a solid wood guitar will. Pretty sad actually, all to make the guitar more affordable.

  • Hi! The ES175 has always been in laminated maple since 1949 ,first year of production.

    Thanks for comment

  • Thanks, I didn't know that and never would've guessed. Can't imagine why they

would want to use laminated wood but

I guess it hasn't been an issue w/ most

guitarists either. I'm in the minority.

  • @captaindomingo yeah your right, i was getting confused for a second.

  • Ok, I'm sold. I want one of these too. ;)

congrats on your new purchase Cap,

nice rendition of How High the Moon.

  • Oh yeah! A new guitar as well! Nice going Dom... You made a good choice. If it's a new Gibson then it will take a little mellowing, but it will just go on sounding better; you'll find it helps to advance your playing too. Me? I'm still learning and hearing that small sample, I have some way to go!

Nice solo on a greta standard.

    Regards John

  • Hi John ! Yes! It is a new ES175 tobacco sunburst and I got also a new Polytone minibrute II ,very clean sound amp.! Although here I am recording directly trough mixer in the Pc.

Anyway it is a good jazzbox ,I am still getting used to the new freetboard.

    Thanks for nice comment.

    Ciao

    Diego

  • Great... Wait until the purfling goes from white to a bone colour. Then it will be a real nice mellow, instrument. The Polytone was a good choice. Nice, fat jazz sound from that Brute!

    John

  • I play too ES 175 but in Polytone megabrute, and I get the same sound. I like megabrute vs minibrute because of its smaller size.

  • One desirable guitar there - great playing!

    Barry

  • Wow! Beautiful guitar and excellent playing. Sound really good!

  • that was great capt.you took your guitar on the ship, didnt you?you been practicing

  • you are right Freddy ! I have got an "Arrow silent guitar" for 80 Euro before my departure , with flatwound strings and amp modeler I got a decent sound and playability.

By the way ! the duo with barry is simply fantastic.

    Ciao

    Diego

  • then go tell useryug,he did all the work.hes a genius!

  • Hi Freddy , Already done!!

    Ciao!
