Hey i researched as much as i could and i didn't find a single article or statement that said or supported the idea that the japs and the norweigens were hunting anything other than common minke and artic minke. If you would like to provide me with a link to a counter claim i;d be happy to read it., And if in fact they are hunting endangered species i'll change my position and support the SS. But as it stands, from the infomation i have found. They are hunting minke.

It's true that whaleing in the past has endangered many species of whale. But sustainable whaleing does exist. Minke and humpback can be hunted to a sustainable degree. And beautiful thing is they breed themselves. WIthout a farm. Its true the kill is not as clean as a farm kill. And thats the bad part, but what can you do. Pigs are smart too. just search youtube for pig slaughter and tell me thats not horrific.

the Inuits also known as Eskimos only get about 40 whales a year because the government will not allow them to get anymore. the japanese are allowed about 900 for what research? i dont think so. the eskimos hunt whales to survive the Japanese hunt whales for money. The governement officials can't figure it out though.
