So fucking what-McCain's running to be president, not economist and he can hire advisers to help him out.
Barry big ears Hussein has only been in the senate for 143 days, how much economic experience does he have over McCain-none. Also McCain headed various economic committees all the decades he's been in the Senate.
This is a bogus non-issue. Obviously the Obamaniacs are desperate to tear McCain down after 'The One' was exposed for the inexperience empty suit with a god complex that he is.
he actually took economics in college and also look at Obama job history he even taught economics in school seriously would you want a man that is in the top 5 in his class or the lower 5 running the country??
we should be thankful - if mccain goes negative he'll lose, just like george bush sr lost to clinton in 92. it's strangely like 92, clinton hope, bush sr. dope. come on, his ads are totally off base and lies, offshore drilling would start saving us money in 2029, it's the f--king republicans prez chimp refraining democrats from tapping into strategic petroleum reserve, also about taxes, mclame said taxes "are not off the table" caught on tape. what a lying, kniving, whining wimp. retire mccain.
What a dumbass! I thought it would be impossible to find a worse president than GW, low and behold the Republicans found one, John McLame HA HA HA....
now McCain and the right-wingers knows how it feels when the other side and the media get obssessed with one comment that was said by Obama or Obama's supporters that - like his economics comment - are usually taken out of context and out of a entire speech...
This dumb ass has stolen every ad and commercial out there and put it into his speech and pretended as if he came up with the idea of investing on new energy fuck him.
are you trying to defend McCain??? 'cause it his lest economic head adviser just resigned 'cause of his ignorant comment of calling the American people winners and that most of this economic problems are in our heads.
His head economic adviser is the one who created the housing crisis Americans and then told us it was all in our heads. The biggest issue today in this country is economics and for a elitist corrupt economist that is head of part of McCain's economic advisers to pretend that people are just winning and delusional about the economic problem should not be close to anyone who want to be our leader.
Because Phil Gramm wrote John McCain's economic policy. If you're trying to say that he should 'surround him self with people that' know the issues he doesn't, Phil Gramm isn't the best start. He did after all help create the housing crisis we are currently coping with...
We can look to the Reagon record to establish a pattern on Republican economic policy:
Iran-Contra, HUD grant rigging, Lobbying Scandals, EPA Superfund fiascos, and the Savings & Loan Bailout which John Kenneth Galbraith referred to as "the largest and costliest venture in public misfeasance, malfeasance and larceny of all time." At least until the current one.
We simply can't afford to support Republican Corparatism any more, and though Pelosi makes me want to puke, the Dems deserve a shot
And it has been those same Democrats who have been voting down every bill of legislation for the rights of American companies to drill America's own oil deposits. And we continue to pay obscene amounts of money for Saudi oil.
Seemingly all because of the blight known as political correctedness...a.k.a. lack of common sense.
Just put two and two together.Does anyone really and truly believe that the so called necessary attempts (mainly fueled 'no pun intended' by the democrats) to find an alternative energy source are being conducted because our economy needs fuel? That they would drain the average citizen with economic burdens all in an effort to help them? Hmm, so I suppose what doesn't kill us all will make us stronger..there comes a time to wake up and see how these so called necessary motives just don't add up.
For such great attempts being made to better the lives of us in the west it seems they've deemed it necessary to oppress every aspect of our lives in order to help us.Does that seem like a sensible way to improve American life?
If it does, then whose to say when it will end and return to the stability we knew yesteryear?
It won't end because this crisis is being allowed to remain for reasons so treasonous our founding fathers would bear arms and storm the white house upon learning.
yea, because the Republican-run oil companies aren't responsible in any way for not refining more to prevent supply issues and drive up prices... tool..
Nitwit,ALL crude oil refineries in the US are running at 98%+ capacity and have been for years.Plus, they have to make different blends for different areas of the country.Oil cos. have been stopped from expanding refinery capacity by environmental lawsuits and NIMBY types. There hasn't been a refinery built in the US in over 30 years.LOOK IT UP.The Republican party doesn't 'run' the oil companies, idiot.WTF does Gramm have to do with the housing crisis. He's been out of office for years, tool.
Mc-Anus knows nothing about economics. He is a supporter of the Federal Reserve's incremental socialism, bank bailouts, etc... The real strong minds on the economy are not the ones he named. They are clueless as well. Burn in hell McCain, you sold out our children. I'm voting for Barr/Root.
if people take nothing else away from videos like these they should at least notice how hostile mccain is to any kind of criticism and how he cuts people off....it is the same was bush and cheney handle questioning.....and it shouldn't surprise anybody that all 3 are in your face liars
white people will vote obama into office because they want so hard to be us.They're women love us they're children wanna be just like us we wont have to take this country from you clumsy fools you will give it to us. thanks
he simply won his senate seat on style. he unfortunately will win the presidency becausemamerica is TOO RACIST, to vote for a black man. what does that say about us in 2008?!
The time to start educating yourself on economics was years ago, not when it comes time to run for president. Note the timelines. He made the comment in the Boston Globe on Dec 18. A little over a month later, he strongly denied making that statement. Senility? selective memory? or just outright dishonesty? Also 6 months doesnt exactly qualify as "quite a while ago" as Carly Fiorina states, especially when your old a fuck.
He has the support of Phill Gramm who says "we're in a mental recession" and "we're a nation of whiners"
If Something like that came out of Obama's campaign, they would destroy Obama!
The media already chose the next President. It's going to be an angry, senile warmonger! We're so screwed. Why is the average American voter so stupid?????????
John McCain is more interested in honestly expressing his opinions than in getting elected. He's shot his own campaign in the foot a few times by refusing to say whatever is popular just so he can get himself elected and THEN show his true colors. Whether or not I think John McCain would make a good president, I haven't yet decided. I AM fairly certain he won't win. But I'm convinced he's a political candidate who cares more about honesty than getting elected. And that scores points with me.
what he means he will bomb alot of places elsewhere in the world and he will come back after that to take care of economy.thats my understanding. we know the warlords mindset
John Mcbush, Mcsame is an idiot, today he said social security is crap, way to win that senior vote. he said young workers are paying for seniors, Duhhh, thats the way the system was set up.. Idiot. His #1 said we are all a bunch of whiners about the economy. And he joked about killing Iranian civilians. As an Obama supporter let me thank you Mcbus. We need you to keep talking.
Wait so is this suppose to be a message againts McCain or to support him? I mean he may be lying about his knowledge of economy, but surely the statement "I know more about military than economics" doesn't actually mean he is bad at economics. It's like saying I think I'm better at walking then running, doesnt mean I can't run or I'm not good at running. In any case, Im voting Obama =P
i like how they plant that woman there as a supposedly credible witness to fluff up his understanding of the economy "i am a business woman... and mccain understands the economy very well" [proven by the fact that i declared myself a business woman]
both candidates SUCK and are PUPPETS to the private mafia banking cartels that run this country into unfathomable debt. McCain is a puppet and a servant of the New World Order. He is a phony.
McCain Has To Really Feel That The American Public Is Too Stupid And Ignorant To Realize That He Actually Did Say Those Things....And By The Some Of The Statements Made Below, He Is Problably Right!
Well..isn't he 75 or 85 or something? People who are that old usually don't have much of a memory. Nobody can vote for McCain, he's so old he'll probably die while in office. That's the most important reason why people must vote for Obama, it is not just because McCain is ignorant and senile.
ah shit it's Bush Kerry all over again. Once again America can agree on one thing...each person they voted for - they hate! still, once again, the Dem. party is the better of two evils in this campaign.
I am glad that he is more honest than other candidates. He knows what he is capable of. But at the same time, he wants to meet the expectation on candidates, I understand that.
If the people cannot trust their government to do the job for which it exists - to protect them and to promote their common welfare - all else is lost.
-Barack Obama
McCain claims to be an epxert on military isues. But we need an expert on economical issues. McCain may be a war hero. But as President he would be a disaster!
Let us see: I was born a US citizen, but in Beirut. Both Parents were US born citizens, and were only in Beirut because that is where their country ( The USA ) ordered them to be. I even have a SF-240 statement that says I was born as a US citizen... Hmmm....
Should I be electable as a US Citizen? The answer is clearly written in the body of the US Constitution - NO. NO WAY.
To attempt to attack Russert's credibility, or to imply that his reference was unsourced was just a stupid thing to do. If you want to defend or downplay the statement, then go ahead, the microphone in front of your face gives you that opportunity, but don't act like someone just made up that quote.
Castor I gave you the thumbs down because I personally am very mixed about affirmative action; I understand its placement but at the same time do not see how it is a fair solution to the injustice in American history. But what you said was plain rude...
Obama needs to thank his lucky stars for affirmative action and racial quotas. Otherwise, Obama would be washing toilets somewhere, which is what he really should be doing.
That's a comment that most people in the African-American community, including me, would deem as "racist". Before accusing someone of racism, try to avoid doing that exact same thing in your posts.
Obama friends and comments: 1.Reverend Wright - mentor,father-figure 2. Bill Ayers, Weatherman, Obama friend 3. Achmed Khasili, Obama friend, part of terrorist organization 4. Lawrence Lessig- created a movie mocking Jesus Christ 5. Michelle Obama- "finally proud" of the U.S. 6. "Bitter" comments 7. Farrakhan connection 8. Flip flops, "Iran is a small threat", next day "Iran is a grave threat." 9. Obama - A radical, anti-American leftist. 10.Never saw a "tax" he didn't like.
the list of friends and mentors of obama's is scary. people will vote with their hearts and not minds. they think that since obama is a good speaker that makes him a leader. this man is not near qualified to be the leader of the free world. when and if he is elected one of two things will happen. he will either do a great job and go down in history as one of the best. or the usa will exisit no longer. is that a chance we want to take? the thought is scary. mark my words
read the law on place of birth when it come to being president. then post a comment saying you were wrong. some times it is important to find this stuff out before you post a comment based on your feelings and not fact. no spin please. this is a spin free zone
The Constitution states: "No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President..." This was overturned in 1790 and reinstated in the early 1800's. No other office-seeker, except for the presidency, must be natural born. Chester Arthur was assailed because it was believed that he was born in Canada. The Framers weren't interested in the parentage of prospective presidents.
Arthur's mother was American, so it didn't matter. He wasn't 'assailed' about it, either, it was just mentioned in passing here and there and nothing ever came of it. Natural born citizen means either born in the US, or born elsewhere of American parent/s.
Arthur was dragged through the press for it and it haunted him throughout his term of office. "Natural born" means born in the United States, otherwise why bother to make a point of "natural born"? In the early 1970's Henry Kissinger was often brought up as a strong candidate, of course as everyone lamented: he can't be president because he wasn't born in the U.S.
You do not even know the law. He is an American citizen, born on a US military base in Panama. He qualifies for ALL US Offices. Know your facts before proving your stupidity.
United States Constitution, Article 2, Clause 5... No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
He was in the military for 23 years, not 12. He has been in Washington for 26 years, not 30. He hasn't been the head of the Armed Services Committee for 22 years, Republicans haven't controlled the Senate for anything close to that long of a stretch during his membership, and for part of that time he was the head of the Commerce Committee.
He's a fine man and a great American. You can find many exemplary things to say about him without lying or making up 'facts'.
7 years of a great economy under bush. it has only been the last 6 months that things have been bad. now that is a fact not spin. but isnt it a shame that as soon as there is talk of a democrate leader taking the white house that economy goes in the tank. it happend to carter and now obama. that tells me something... fool
That's a load of crap... the economy under Bush has been anything but 'great'. It's been mediocre at the best of times, some of that's not his fault because 9/11 tanked us, but his "let's give everything to the rich" policies are mostly to blame. The economy was already in the tank when Carter took office, and had been there for years. It' pretty much been in the tank since 2000 this time around. Don't make up facts then call other folks a fool.
He's gone from a serial flip flopper to a bald face liar in record time. These fucking rethugnican mutts and their slope skull supporters crack me up.
Read some of their comments on here..pure fucking comedy mang. ROFL
Nanquan, it's really not O's fault that you don't have a good enough comprehension of the language to understand him. He won't talk down to you even so, and he won't play dumb for you, so you should probably start reading instead, so you can re-read it! Start with Audacity of Hope. but be careful you might learn something.
is it ok for mccain to be selfcentered in making descions without regard of growing american whose concern of war.Since the war is funded by americans from their own pocket should mccain stop turning his ear away from the growing voices that oppose his desire to continue it. Isnt there a balance in a leader leading and time to follow the voice of people. How has mccain not crossed it if he hasnt already have?

A LOT !!!
His head economic adviser is the one who created the housing crisis Americans and then told us it was all in our heads. The biggest issue today in this country is economics and for a elitist corrupt economist that is head of part of McCain's economic advisers to pretend that people are just winning and delusional about the economic problem should not be close to anyone who want to be our leader.
gallomex13 3 years ago

Seemingly all because of the blight known as political correctedness...a.k.a. lack of common sense.
cowtipper99 3 years ago
Just put two and two together.Does anyone really and truly believe that the so called necessary attempts (mainly fueled 'no pun intended' by the democrats) to find an alternative energy source are being conducted because our economy needs fuel? That they would drain the average citizen with economic burdens all in an effort to help them? Hmm, so I suppose what doesn't kill us all will make us stronger..there comes a time to wake up and see how these so called necessary motives just don't add up.
cowtipper99 3 years ago
For such great attempts being made to better the lives of us in the west it seems they've deemed it necessary to oppress every aspect of our lives in order to help us.Does that seem like a sensible way to improve American life?
If it does, then whose to say when it will end and return to the stability we knew yesteryear?
It won't end because this crisis is being allowed to remain for reasons so treasonous our founding fathers would bear arms and storm the white house upon learning.

The time to start educating yourself on economics was years ago, not when it comes time to run for president. Note the timelines. He made the comment in the Boston Globe on Dec 18.

Panama was never a US Territory. As long as his parents were American, he is qualified to be president even if he was born on Pluto.
bokesnmokes 3 years ago
Arthur's mother was American, so it didn't matter. He wasn't 'assailed' about it, either, it was just mentioned in passing here and there and nothing ever came of it. Natural born citizen means either born in the US, or born elsewhere of American parent/s.
bokesnmokes 3 years ago
Arthur was dragged through the press for it and it haunted him throughout his term of office. "Natural born" means born in the United States, otherwise why bother to make a point of "natural born"? In the early 1970's Henry Kissinger was often brought up as a strong candidate, of course as everyone lamented: he can't be president because he wasn't born in the U.S.
