I bought myself an old 1973 Mercedes-Benz (much like this one) recently, just to get the feel of liberty this very clip provides!!! The feeling and the car; priceless!
Wow, I forgot how much I love this song (and all of the songs on The Pleasure and The Pain). I wish I could find the first album by The Box (did they make that on CD??).
Thanks for posting all of these awesome 80s Canadian videos / songs!!!
there 2 first album were there best ones to me ,less commercial, and sound to me more athmospherical than there others after these ones.the richness and all the details of jean marc's voice that i think is less evident on post albums . closer together didn't raise my arm's hair as the tho first did and....the still.
This sounds like a Vangelis song, "L'enfant". I can't post a link but google vangelis L'enfant and there's a YouTube photo slide show set to the Vangelis tune. The similarities are eerie... but I'm pretty sure the Vangelis song was produced in the 70's (and was used in "The Year of Living Dangerously" in 1982 according to WikiPedia)
I also get chills even after 23 years ! Amazing... Not sure that kids of today would feel the same feelings in twenty years after hearing some crap from Lady Gaga ! I feel like driving like Jean Marc and discover more of Canada. The Box forever : )
This is one of my favorite songs of the 80s. Weird thing is that it makes me think of the movie Predator because at the time I really both this song and that movie. I still get goosebumps with the mood this song generates.
I adore this tune ... to me one of the greatest of the 80's - Song takes you away to another place for 4 minutes... I get chills up my spine every time I hear it - Thank you ever so much for posting it .
1:40 Abegweit!! It looked like a space ship compared to the old Abegweit but it was some nice inside with those big round couches in the upstairs lounge!
@isabelarch and another one.. good bye mon ami i will very much miss your love (québécois statement toward the ones who camed to place du canada, montreal during the last referendum to told us they love us) Hahahaha i know they do sometimes love us specially our music !!!!
The 80s were the best!!

This song totally reminds me of my childhood. I remember driving down the 401 in my dad's '86 red minivan listening to this song

I have been a fan of Canadian rock for years. These guys are French-Canadian, who barely speak English, yet have great music.

Now there's a classic Canadian lyric: "And the beauty of the land / Speaks for me."
