i dropped this phone once and had to replace the screen....it constantly freezes with a white screen its slow and i am seriously disapointed i blow moneyon this phone and am now stuck....oh and being on a call w/ an automated menu suck especially if speaker phones not an option at the moment ya have to have it slid open

@mohrpimpin yes it has the same app store as the e71 so u can download hotspot apps, but u cant use it that much because once u use a lot of data straighttalk will check ur data usage and if they see ur using it as a hotspot they will cancel ur service and u will have a $200 brick

Well, after this review I'm left thinking that the only real smart phone option available, for straight talk customers, with that wonderful unlimited plan, is the nokia e71. I've been in two minds about which smart phone to get, and this review has pretty much helped me out there.

@tamaskrisztian I do, it's great. Honestly there's nothing to bitch about; the keyboard is legendary, it's fully customizable (text alerts, ringtones, etc.) and although it takes a while to get used to it's a solid phone.

nokia made its epic comeback, ive always owned nokia and this has the durability of the first one and the features and much more speed than the last. its got a day and a half of battery still. i cant tell you how many times ive dropped this, at least 5 times out of my pocket from prob about 3 feet (ima big guy hah). but honestly its got the speed if not more speed than the other smart phones, the key board it great, and all in all a wonderful phone especially for the price

everything he said they SHOULDN'T have done, is the thing i like the most.

Buttons are PERFECT, the wide space is a life saver asshole, since you can click on it with left or right thumb. and not even looking where is it like on corby.

Number on the middle are awesome too, no need for a special pad for numbers, because they would be too small !! That is the reason why i love this phone !!

@oggangsta34 I sent my quickfire in for this phone. Badass phone. You will be happy with the trade if you do. My only complaint is that the keyboard can't always keep up with my fingers like my quickfire could.

@oggangsta34 Nope. Mine always charged fine. My battery life after a year of having the phone was noticeably less though. Batteries do die. My Sd card never worked in it. It doesn't update. Gets hot. Quickfires blow for sure man. Had I waited one more day I would have been stuck with it.

how do u dial with it? do u have to use the push out key board to dial a number?

well there's no real need to dial if you're calling someone who's in your address book cuz you can just open the contacts and select the number you wanna dial. but yeah, if you're calling someone who's not in your phone you have to open the keyboard. a touchscreen would have been useful.

is this a review or an insult to this phone. i mean its not soo bad. yes it feels cheap but it never breaks on me. i dropped it probably around 10 times and it doesnt have a scratch on it, nor did it freeze or become slow. ITS A FANTASTIC PHONE, phonedog is much better becauase he reviews the ups and downs. this guy only reviews the downs.
