I have a 1991 gmc Sierra with a 350 small block, and it has tons of power until it heats up then all of a sudden it's like it loses all of it's power and it can barely get up over 40 km/h if Im lucky... Is that because my cat needs to be replaced?
@TehRam318 Well Mine turned out to not be clocked cats,it's a bad fuel pump. So if your car/truck stalls out or spits and sputters at stop lights,or jolts and refuses to accelerate when you have your foot on that gas, it could be a bad fuel pump. My cats were pretty bad, but they weren't bad enough to cause me to lose acceleration power.
So the final verdict was a collapsed cat. We 'fixed' it. It sure was a fun car, and I'm sure it still is for the guy who bought it.
