i love all the misinformation floating around the Huber videos. its a 2.8L tall deck racing block not a 2.3L. its not using the stock head, nor a volvo head, its a esslinger ARCA racing head. havent talked to the hubers in over a year, so i dont know what turbo they are running now.
I almost can't put into words how pleased I am that you show those chevy guys that our mustangs are absolute beasts regardless with a four banger or eight. How in the world did you do that (get that much hp and torque out of a four cylinder). Can I ask how much did it cost you? What exactly made you decide to go with a four instead of an eight?
w/e fits add a turbo take into consideration wiring and such mabye a carberated setup would be easier to intergrate to your car what are you working with?
you dont have to fabricate much at all you just take what ford gave you and make it better i have 88 coupe mustang with a 2.3 turbo motor i built for it i run 12.90's all day and every thing is ford factory except for the turbo and exaughst you just gotta know what your doing and did i mention only 1500 in the whole car
I love killing ricers off the line. They always spend thousands on looks and miss the engine. Its almost expected for them to have nothin under the hood.
not always, weight is always a factor 500 lbs make a big diffrence in ho fast the car is. rwd 4cyl turbo cars are very fast an inline engine has alot of advantages over a v6 or v8. i would definatly rather a inline 6 over a v6
Inline motors do have a lot of advantages like you say, principle among those is torque. With an inline six, you can have two cylinders firing at once, that means lots of torque at low rpms.
I drive a jeep with an inline six, and that thing has got power!
Do your research and it all depends on what you want. Supercoupe engines blow headgaskets and crack, they're not really all that great for making big power. Even a 302 is really only good for about 500 before you start running a great risk of ruining your block. Parts for the 2.3L mostly have to be fabricated.
I own a turbo 2.3 and you dont fabricate as many parts as you think. you dont need to make massive hp to get into the 10s its a matter of weight and setup.

0to60in16seconds 3 years ago
Haha, true.
But a boosted or blown V8 will destroy anything in existence, haha...
nasonguy 2 years ago
says who?
i have seen with my own 2 eyes in person
a na 4cyc make a twin turbo v8 look retarded
i have also seen full out 4cyc drag cars get beaten by street legal daily driven na v8's
just becuase it's a v8 or it's turbo or whatever don't mean shit!
0to60in16seconds 2 years ago
Dude, you are seriously contradicting yourself...
Which in my mind makes all your comments completely useless...

Weight is huge in the equation, lol.

definatly is it stock you should consider stroking it
eclipse10101 1 year ago
haa that sounds dirty
eclipse10101 1 year ago
Stroke it, then boost it, then blow it, then stroke it again, haha.
Yeah, I don't really have the money to stroke it right now.

or you could just go out and buy a 4 banger for 1k and drop in a supercoupe motor all around around 3k worth of expences

LMAO! 9.75 AFTER a hellish wheelstand. I want to know if the guy is using the stock head OR the volvo B234 DOHC swap.
