Does anybody remember India Arie at Yin Yang in Atlanta? That was the best club/live music that I've ever seen. "Brown" is interchangeable; it wouldn't matter what color of the rainbow you inserted, or even other words- "my skin', etc. It's about personal respect for self and others regardless of skin color. If you knew anything about Arie you would be aware that she in no way valuing brown skin as better.
