I first heard this from Ric Von Schmidt...... He lives in Cambridge..... Ric's a blues guitar player....... I met him one day in the, green pastures of Harvard University...
Thanks Steve, for the kind comments, and for taking the time to comment. I sort of half know some Neil Young, but have never truly learned it, but with your suggestion, I could work up a couple of tips on a few Neil Young songs: Out on the Weekend, Oh Lonesome Me, and a few others from his early albums. Stay tuned and let me see what I can come up with.
g to g7(not f) c to c7 g d g e7 a a7 d7 g--got it form happtraums notation of the rev.s gary davis song "baby let me lay it on you." very true to the actual song.
oh wow! to be completely honest, this was fantastic! this is one of the few dylan songs i cannot do! it's that darned Eb chord (the one(s) that you slide on). it's an excellent version. the harmonica is outstanding! thank you for all the comments on my Freight Train Blues as well.
Thanks FolkHippie500 (can I call you Folk?) for the kind words. I spent a bit of time last night watching and enjoying your videos. Great stuff well played, and I'm going to revisit them again and again to learn some more Bob Dylan songs from you.
Sorry for the glacially slow response to your question on which harmonica I'm using on this Dylan song. I'm using a Hohner Blues Harp in the Key of C (Key of G on guitar...). Thanks for the comment and kind words.
Jack: Thanks for your very kind words. Can you tell I just got done with the school year (I'm a high school librarian) and have a few minutes to videotape & upload some more songs? I think I've heard the Bromberg song you mentioned, but can't remember the melody, so I'll have to look it up since I'm now curious with your mention of it. Thanks again. Keith
thanks a lot, this video really helped!

Absolutely wonderful, more helpful than any tab I found so far. What Harmonica are you using? My E and C harps work but I want to get it right.

Hot damned Keith :)
I just adore your channel and all of these great tips - keep up the good work.
BTW, David Bromberg's "Last Song for Shelby Jean" has your name all over it, you just don't know this as yet :)
Best Regards, Jack
