Creating Edge Effects with Photoshop with John Reuter

I was able to follow you until you pulled a surprise by inserting something you scanned. I wish someone would show how to make edges simple instead of so hard. By scanning something found somewhere, you didnt realize we didn't have this photo, and could not inject a scan such as yours.
