The string is taped to the back of his right ear and on the other end is a small piece of wax. The wax is stuck to his thumb which he can slip onto the card at any time. When he spins the card he controls its height by moving the string with his hand. When he spins it around the back of his head he spins its back again because the string is wrapped around his head. At the end watch him slip the wax back onto his fingernail, hence why he cant fully stretch out his left arm like his right.

dont even need a disney land kit to do this trick, just some beeswax and fishing line attached to your ear. put the beeswax attached to the end of the fishing line on your thumb nail and show the people your playing card or credit card. then hold the card flat and pretend to imbue it with magic! (applying the beeswax to it) then float the card around, pull the beeswax off when you grab the card, give the card to the audience, WALAA you made a card fly.

ive actually learn this trick from a magic store. they do use a string. one end is taped on his ear, and the other end is on the card with some wax. and every time hes letting u examine the card, he wipes the wax with his fingernail, and when hes ready to spin, he puts the wax back on. if u ever see a magician do this, act like u dont know and try waving ur hand on the top of the card while the "magician" spins it. it will embarrass him. =]
