  • You know you've been watching too much hockey for way too long when you remember Yvon Vautour came up originally with the Islanders and you remember seeing him play for the Islanders. Heck, I remember seeing Darcy Regier play for the Islanders. I remember thinking when he first came up, "who the hell would name their son Darcy?", but there's been a few others—Darcy Tucker, Darcy Rota. Maybe it's a popular name in Canada.

  • Gillies never fought Fotiu or Beck. I know I have seen Gillies and Beck battle in front of the net, but it was part of the game. They had a definite respect for one another.

Fotiu fought Nystrom when Nicky was on The Whalers, look for the video on Youtube.

Gillies was the best of the bunch and had incredible knock out power.

Beck was strong as hell, Nystrom had quick hands and Fotiu was a golden gloves boxer. All 4 were great NHL fighters.

  • Shit DRAW.

Fotiu landed 2-3 as Vautour landed 1-2.

  • Nystrom couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag? Go ask Eddie Hospodar, Barry Beck, Nick Fotiu and George McPhee about that, they will laugh in your fucking face, the guy was insanely nasty when he fought.

You know nothing, as someone who was there, I could tell you Fotiu and NO ONE ELSE wanted any part of Clarke Gillies, he is the best fighter of his generation and the best overall blend of toughness and hockey skill that ever played.

Enjoy the BS they push at MSG retard.

  • @mrceebees14 I agree with you about Bobby Nystrom, he w2as one tough and nasty guy to scrap with. Fotiu never ran from Gillies or anyone. Fotiu was actually a better fighter than Gillies. Gillies was not the best fighter of his generation but definitely solid top 10. If I had to choose a guy with killer fight record for that time it would most likely be Behn Wilson. He lost maybe 3 or 4 fights in his entire career.

  • @nycboyforlife one of those loses was to Fotiu and Fotiu beat him pretty badly.

  • @dtrrose I'm actually a big Nick Fotiu fan and in my opinion he was one of the top 10 fighters in NHL history. Fotiu was awesome.

  • @mrceebees14 When you say you were there what do you mean by that ? Were you a player or a fan ? I was a fan in that era as well.

  • @nycboyforlife I was at this game.

  • @mrceebees14 Go clean a toilet asshole.

  • @proton3227 Job is already taken by Rod Gilbert since he pukes so much from being shit faced 24/7.

  • And Ranger fans used to cry about Vukota picking guys up and slamming them to the ground, they forget that was Fotiu 101.

    Hypocritical bitches.

  • @mrceebees14 Ha! Nystrom was one of the dirtiest players in the game. Pulling hair, using his stick, hitting guys after the linesmen come in to break up a fight, he even kicked Scott Stevens with his skate after Stevens pummel him. THAT was Nystrom 101. Hypocritical bitches?....look in the mirror you twat.

  • @proton3227 Define dirty, because if you know the era he played in, you know it was the most brutal times in hockey thanks to teams like the Flyers and Bruins.

Scott Stevens never pummeled Nystrom, you are high, they never fought you idiot. What crack are you smoking? The hair pulling almost every fighter has done some involuntarily, including GEORGE MCPHEE which is where you are getting your whining from.

The Rangers were and always will be pussies, that team OWNED you.

  • @mrceebees14 You are a complete moron. If you even had a rudimentary knowledge of hockey from that era you would know that Stevens and Nystrom fought twice. Look it up on YouTube, even a retard such as yourself should be capable of that.

  • Body slam to a half guard... Fotiu was doing MMA before it was known. LOL Vautour would've gotten pummeled through the ice in about another minute or 2.

  • @Zooko23NY The real god father of ground n pound!

  • Vautour's lucky that's all he got.

  • @meanwiddlekid You don't remember Vautour then, he could hold his own.

Fotiu was just a thug, had NO hockey skills what so ever. The only reason he even got a job was because of the 1970's "thug-fest" type of hockey back then.

If not, he would be flipping hamburgers somewhere.

  • @mrceebees14

Fotiu played 3 times as many NHL games as Vautour and scored almost 100 more NHL points than Vautour and still coaches in the Rangers organization. And he could still kick Vautour 's ass any day.

  • @meanwiddlekid Fotiu got his ASSED handed to him by Nystrom. Fotiu always ran from Gillies.

    Staten Island is a shithole.

  • @mrceebees14

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

What a worthless shit answer. Fotiu never ran away from anyone and nystrom couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag.

The pussyders won't even have a team unless you go to Kansas City.
