I make videos to speak about my beliefs, I started about a month ago & one of my videos has already been banned in "some countries" because I used a song from one of my favorite bands (I bought their cd & then added their song to my video) at the end of each video I always put which songs I used & the band name. it frustrates me that we arent allowed to use music on our video uploads. its not like Im selling their product or saying that Im the one who created the song. it makes me sad :(

I used to have over 80 videos till copy right came in. Yeah is my fault why 40 videos got taken down that is due to keygens.

I had a channel, I was a beginner, not really anything special, I made videos of a game called Runescape, which I haven't played for a coupel years. The game company, Jagex, copyrighted 2 of my videos, I did the easy thing, and took them off. A few days later I logged on to youtube, only to find that my chanel with about 10 or so videos was banned. All my hard work. Gone.

Most of my videos have been taken down by WMG or UMG, because of the songs i use in my AMV's. Once it was Viacom for using Avatar: The Last Airbender, but I think they got the message that I don't own Avatar after a while. Honestly, I am sick of filling out dispute forms! Even a song I was playing in the background when I was recording myself was taken down. Stupid!

Then put a disclaimer in your video description, saying that the video was purely fan-made and has no association with the anime/cartoon/whatever artist OR the musical artist. This will prevent it from being falsely copyright claimed as YouTube knows you did make the video, not the company who... uhm... *owns* the song.

WMG took down 2 of my videos because they had one segment each of one song. The first one had a segment from "Another One Bites the Dust" and the second had "It's All Been Done".

Unless a video has the full song then there shouldn't be a problem. I can see why they don't want full songs on YouTube because people will listen to thos videos instead of buying them, but only having a segment is basically free advertising!

I miss the old YouTube.

Wrong R.I.P. date. You tube lost control three months after 2006. I believe they were bought out by Google. Year 2007 sucked in many other large company's.

After so You tube became a big advertisement realm 2008-2009 for small company's like rune scape and big greedy company's like Viacom.

If you were an original You tube like me you'd know they're old under logo was "Where you can speak your mind and show your talents"

Oh yeah almost forgot if you were to look at some of the old accounts they were either banned, had all videos removed, or just quit it last year or the year before. Back then no-one did it for money. They tried they're best to just give you a quick laugh or show off they're talents. When company's videos were promoted and because they have plenty of money they can make their videos look great! We don't really need You tube guys, its just we have become to attached to it that we can not live without it, and when it gets threatened, we make soppy videos about how we have to give up You Tube as if it was our son or daughter.
