@simonmini100 I've worked with these things the past 2 summers, and have heard that question so many times. They're filled with air, which you breathe. The actual amount of oxygen you take in with each breath is low, so you could probably last about an hour comfortably in one. Most places only have you in for 5-10 minutes.

Also, when the bubbles get a hole, they don't burst, but let out air slowly - so there's no major danger. This is because the pressure inside it isn't very high like a balloon
