no, it doesnt prove that. The shipments were being brought back to Fort Lewis to be recycled into more weapons to return to a war zone in Iraq or elsewhere to kill more people. "Hippies" is an shallow and effortless way to categorize a very diverse group of people who took part in organizing these actions.

The weapons come back only to be recycled and sent to a war zone to kill more. Most, if not all, of us hold full-time jobs, have kids, and/or are students. We DO have the right as American citizens, and many of us have family in the military or have been there ourselves.

Protesting against providing equipment to the people who fight for your freedom is a disgrace. Destroying the property of others is illegal, not obeying an officer of the law is illegal. Unfortunately right wing America forgets their American history. This country was founded on revolution. Think back to the Boston tea party, the historic figures that participated in those protests are recounted as heroes fighting for justice, yet when present day heroes speak out or damage property they are touted as criminals that deserve to be beaten and tortured. Our incapability to question those in power is exactly why the rest of the world sees the American public as a laughing stock.

We are at war. if we do not spread awareness amidst peoples daily habit and regularity, many people will never find out. These protests were never violent toward any people and were planned to be nonviolent. Staying on the sidewalks - this is not free speech and this is not going to show the importance and seriousness of the issue.

The plans must have been ignored. These people were not sprayed for standing on the sidewalk. They tried to stop movement on a sreet and reaped the consequences. They need to stop complaining.

No, violence is only used when people resist arrest or refuse to move. Officers are not required to hold your hand and ask you to move, pretty please. These protesters recieved the same treatment as any other large group of resisting offenders. You expect them to be treated differently due to their political beliefs.

Maybe this is a disagreement about how excessive force if defined.. Or maybe you are not aware of just how excessive the violence was. Several people on the sidewalks, often not even part of the protest, were brutally pepper sprayed or papper bulleted or kicked down and pushed. And these were people on the sidewalk.

Ok - then the difference is that I do not see evidence of the alleged brutality anywhere on this video. If someone posts a video w/ the comment that it shows police acting in a way they shouldn't then the video needs to actually show the behavior. I take an stranger's word as worthless.
