Kind of annoying how people say this isn't as good as Red Dwarf. I haven't seen Red Dwarf yet (but certainly plan to), and on its own merit, Hyperdrive is hilarious and very good. When you compare one show to another, greater one, of course the first show isn't going to seem that good. But on its own, this show is great.

Even thou i did watch this, i must say that it really was utter rubbish. Wasint the lest bit funny as Red Dwarf, which at the time felt was trying to revive Red Dwarf while at the same time not trying to be Red Dwarf [ that makes no sense, i know ], but no, the only real proper British Sci-Fi Space Sitcom . . . . By the way, where did the theme song come from? It sounds like "HI HO, HI HO, off to work we go". However, a friend points out that it isn't that at all. He thinks it's from an American TV show. But it's not Hogan's hereos or McHail's Navy." I do know it was used in an AT&T (Same as BT) commmercial. I'm surprised someone did not get sued for rights on that tune.

Too bad the show had been decommissioned. It was a great show! The show adds to the thought of people being different. This clip, which has a hint of "androgyny", and from former mentions on this episode, makes one think of how we treat others and homosexuality and multisexuality... if we are really all free. "Gift from The Glish" (the BBC3 Pilot) was my fav though.
