Get yourself a cheap PC, a microphone and a copy of Bridge Commander.

Thats the ONLY Star Trek ship game you'll ever need.

@imperialpod Wrong, Klingon Academy is the only Star Trek ship game you would ever need. It was much better gameplay and graphics wise than Bridge Commander was imo even though it is much older.

KA looks great but I've yet to play it so I'll reserve judgment till I do.

Like it or not, BC kicks serious ass, especially with a mic for voice control and the Kobayashi Ultimate Mod.

@Fbueller129 (part 1) it does make it better by far depending on the mod, now i've not got legacy or BC on the pc (only legacy on 360) and i've seen videos on here that i thought u couldn't do, go with legacy for this now on the 360 it gets very boring after i finished it and i want to mod it getting more ship, races and levels but i can only do that on pc version and with legacy i dont know what was in their heads when they made it but the galaxy class can only fire 3 or 4 photons (space limit)

no...Encounters for the PS2. I don't like the ships much...larger capital ships move to fast and that stupid radar you have to togle around a lot gets annoying.

I enjoyed this game, although its not the best trek game out there I had fun with it.

I like how you can be all the different era and species ships from the all TV series. In strory mode the game is fairly simple but the one character card I couldn't unlock was Dr. Phlox from the NX-01Enterprise....anyone else find that hard?

In the show Voyager's not even a match for a Borg sphere (without help from future tech.

And its much much smaller.

The Enterprise D was like 1/20 the size of the Cube seen in Best of Both Worlds, and Voyager is smaller than the Enterprise.

Doesn't seem like a good game. For example, why is Voyager nearly the same size as the Tactical Cube? When I watched the episode Unimatrix Zero, Voyager wasn't half the size of a Tactical Cube, yet here, it seems like someone threw a Super Mushroom from the Mario games into the Warp Core. Good video anyway, I suppose.

Why don't you use the L1 and L2 buttons to fly over and beneath the cube, and also doge phaser/torpedo fire during battle. It's called 'evasive manouvers'

WTF are you talking about!! Voyager was one starfleets fastest and most powerful ships. It was an Intrepid class capable of doing Warp (9.975) it wasent damm shout or curiser. (no offence to the Enterprise)!!!

Voyager was NOT the most powerful ship in the fleet. The Intrepid Class is a Light Explorer/Scout type ship. They are not designed for heavy fighting, and within a major fleet battle the Intrepid would act in support of larger ships. They are usually assigned to scouting and support missions. Intrepids are much faster and maneuverable than most Starfleet ships and have some of the latest technology that enhance its sensor systems among other things. Still, they are not the most powerful ships

True but Sovereign is the most powerful of all Federation ships by along way. Go on the Star Trek offical website. Though Promethieus may well have equal fire power to the Sovereign except for less Quantom Torpedeos.

And we have to mention, that Prometheus is just a testyard for future technologies, 4example the multi vector attack mode..just like the Defiant and the ablative armour, which has been later adopted by the Sovereign class.

And the bad sound-effects... Even as a Star Trek fan, I find it very hard to appreciate this game.

"Legacy" pretty much did it all, only 10 times better.

I agree. A ship of that mass doing those sorts of maneuvers is ridiculous. Also, the maneuvers at impulse are usually executed automatically. I wish they'd make a startrek game that was realistic and involved actual strategy and you could command a real crew. Otherwise, this game just looks like asteroidz.

You should try Star Trek Starfleet Command 1 2 or 3 (havent played 3.) there are much more realtisic. and based on the popular board game Star Fleet Battles from Amerilo design Beraou.

Well, I meant more like choosing a crew of people, like a chief engineer, a helmsman, a science officer, lt. commander, advisor, and tactical officer, with no direct control of the ship's manuevering or weapons, just choosing a drop list of commands in a given situation, like an RPG. Like being a real captain. know what I mean?

yea that would be cool. i dont know of any games like that =( but like i said Starfleet Command 1 lets you choose your crew, and based on their skill your ship performs differntly. But thats the closest i can thnk of. There is also Star Trek Starship Creator, its like what u said, choose your crew, give them commands. Make your ship. I havent played it in a while.

Agreed. Bethesda *or however you spell it* did a horrible job w/ the franchise. Don't get me wrong, I like Encounters...but...meh. Legacy was a huge disappoint for the PC. I guess the Xbox version was okay, but I don't own one.

it has missions from every star trek: the original, tng, voyager, ds9, and even enterprise (with captain archer) there are 2 codes to unlock everything in the game. all you have to do is play onslaught and enter "bethesda" as your name in the high score. that unlocks either all ships and missions or all character cards. one unlocks cards, the other unlocks missions and ships. get a high score and enter "4jstudios" as your name and that will unlock whatever the first code didn't. have fun! :)
