  • this is almost identical to what we do. we lost to them by 15 which isn't bad if you think about it

  • Whats that exercise were you have a dumbbell in each hand and do a push up. Then after the push up you bring the dumbbell to your armpit [?!] and what does it work on?

  • @TheAllDayBaller That is a Dumbbell Push-up/Row and works just about everything in your upper body....

  • Coach, our practices end pretty late at night, which makes working out after practice kinda hard. Should I strength train before practice? Do you recommend it? Have you ever done it?

    My coach was thinking of starting when the games begin. But pre-season intensity when practices (40 suicides yesterday) begin would be too much right??

  • @Hoopnwork I am not longer at Montrose, I left to take a similar position at DeMatha. Yes, we being our "in-season" mode once practice starts... which for us is next week!

  • Did the guys do every exercise? Or did they have options (pull-ups or pullover, machine or DB shoulder press, etc.)

  • @Huupconnection The squat matrix has the players change their feet position... wide, narrow, staggered, etc.

  • @ballachamp10 I understand what you are saying... but having a strong bench press has nothing to do with success on the basketball court (just ask Kevin Durant). Every single kid on this Montrose roster will play Division I basketball! I do appreciate your feedback man... I ain't hatin' either!
