Ce n'étais pas le meilleur grimpeur qui fût (bien qu'il étais très bon).

Mais il avait un mental hors du commun, je le respect pour sa parce que c'est très important de rester calme quand on grimpe. A mon avis il n'étais pas fou car il n'est pas mort en tombant d'une voie trop dur pour lui ou il se serait lancé sans être assurer. il est resté un minimum prudent quand il s'agissait de grimper en solo.

j'aimerais avoir un tel mental, sa doit permettre de progresser enormément...

He left his rope on top of the crag two weeks prior from his first jump and decided to go again without the T.V. crew and just one of his best buds. The weathered ropes crossed and snapped. So if any thing can be learned is to replace your gear after the first run on 1000 feet gainers like that. A true legend.

I trashed my bike about 3.5 miles from any form of civilization; it was one hell of a walk home; I couldn't bend the wheels into any form of usable shape, so I had to carry it. When I walked into the bike shop, I was caked in dirt and blood, but I was grinning from ear-to-ear; my buddy the store owner just looked at me, shook his head and carried my bike to the back room; I think he lost 3 other customers that day...lol

@Foxtrot1138 Good observation rock climbing is about 75% mental and 25% physical, obviously not everyone can do what Dan does. He can do a hold with a few fingers that most ppl couldn't do with both hands even with training or years of experience. He just one of those Super humans that has the mental and physical ability to do what most could never. Some will say say "yeah but hes dead" ppfftt! he didn't die from rock climbing he died from dynamic rope bungee jumping, Dan your the shit! :)
