Ohmigosh! this is the first time I'm listening to it! Honestly, when I was asked to sing it, the person that asked me to sung it first and then asked me to sing it then he gave me the sheet music to work with.
I performed this at on of my first live performances. :) Brings back the memories!
People found out I was a soprano singer (I found out I was destined to be a soprano singer) when I performed this song (as a solo). :) I still remember the words! :)
Sheep are the most vulnerable of all animals and need a shepherd to keep them safe. I too am very vulnerable, maybe even more vulnerable than a sheep because my own kind will harm me. I need someone to keep me safe.
When did religion last invent microchips? When did they sequence the human genome? When did they feed 40% of the world population? Never.
The scientists did this. The palaeontologists and biologists and professers did this. The group of people that most of them ( 90% ) agree with atheism
Science flies you to the moon, religion flies you into buildings.
It's true that religion didn't do any of those things and nor will it ever but when did science bring people spiritual peace?
I am an atheist and have been all my life, but I have been going to church recently with my son (who does believe in God) and while it has done nothing to change my opinion on the existence of God, it has shown me what an important and fulfilling part of some people's lives religion can be. Something doesn't have to be true to be useful or good.
@lotus49a Yes, but when it becomes more than meditation then it becomes a problem. Its caused millions of deaths. I think lives take priority over meditation.
Most of the deaths you might lay at the door of religion were caused by bigotry, not religion. Some people will always find a reason to kill fellow human beings whether it's because their victims are Jewish or Muslim, or because they are black or gay.
You might also equally say that science has killed millions of people. Scientists invented nuclear weapons. Should we blame science for Hiroshima?
You can't blame a system of thought for the actions of people.
My grandpa was in the hospital last march right before he died my last memory of him was him singing this song right before he passed away, PRAISE THE LORD
well with matching male & female voices its a pity
we dont know the names of the vocalists but my

The meaning of this song is very sinister!
It's ironic this is telling you to act like sheep, think for yourselves people!
