Should also point out that the 7.62mm = .30 cal and is also smaller than a 9mm parabellum, and a 308 is a 7.62 / .30 cal... so.... Your logic sounds like bullshit.

Also a 12 gauge generally consists of buckshot, which makes it a terrible round at any length of range.

And for stopping power records, a .40 cal is approx a 10mm. not much bigger

@SupremeAmerican its negligible, any medical examination of bullet wounds will tell you its the same difference. I routinely fire 9mm, .45 acp, and .38 spcl into steel targets and its all the same result,

for my money ill take the 9mm capacity and out range your 12 gauge. foot pounds is initial force, a 9mm will penetrate more defense and afford more shots so enjoy your favorite round, a bullet to the head in any case is the same result.

Take a moment to look it up, any differences related to measurements based off of lead ball and FMJ rounds is moot considering modern firearm projectile advancements.

Above that the Joules from a 9mm hits approx at 500 while a .45acp is 540. I bet you'd fall down with either, especially if a defense cartridge was used.

At least my delusions are backed by science.
