I took offense to the statement "Ms. I don't need a man." Most women don't feel like that DON'T need a man. That's just what they tell themselves when they see no hope in finding a quality black man to be with. You do realize that there is a shotage of quality brothers don't you? Not necessarily. A woman can raise an educated man who respects women. My father (one of many examples) was mainly raised by his mother and he is a good man. I do feel that there should be male role models in a boy's live (a teacher, a coach, a friend of the mother's), but a man can grow up to be a good man raised by a mother. There are lesbian couples who raise children to be good people. Please educate yourself and look into your misogynism.

This video did nothing to address injustices of the past or present. There was no point in this video. It only exemplified the horrors of what this culture calls entertainment. I refuse to listen to, buy or watch any of this filth. I am raising a future black woman and I want her to know that she never ever has to disrespect herself in that way.

Maybe if you read the explination of this video, you'll understand that it is supposed to be degrading. The point of this video, according to the poster, is to, "inform people about the Saartjie Baartman's plight and show the similarities in how black women are portrayed in American Media."
This video isn't about the poster being racist, it's about how racist the media is.
